Design Border Question

I made up some designs for the 1 day we will be at Univseral Studios with my MIL. Dh wants to do them on black shirts, but I was wondering if I should leave the black borders as or cut a white trim around the black border? Which border would look best on a black shirt?

This will be sized later for a name tag size on the front of the shirt....

and this will be on the back.....

For the first one, I would leave a little gap of white around the film frame edge so that it will show on your black shirt. The frame really adds to the design and if you do not leave a little white, it will disappear into the shirt.

For the second one, I would change the border outline color so that you can still have that defining edge. Maybe choose one of the other colors in the design (like one of the blues)

Just my opinion.
