One of my friends is going to WDW for the first time this August. She's not a disney fan like me but she is going with her 9 year old daughter, husband and 16 year old step-son.

I know the restaurants *I* would eat at but I'm not sure about her. I think she'd like thinks like 'le cellier' and 'california grill' but her daughter might like the princesses cause she's on that border of growing up.

I'm just telling her about ADRs etc but she's not a research bunny like me. So, I wanted to sum up the main table service restaurants for her in one (or two) lines, so that she can look up only those that interest her.

Here's the challenge....which are your fave five TS restaurants anywhere in disney (she has a car), why and how would you describe them?

This would be a fun challenge, but seriously, could you narrow the field of TS restaurants?

Wouldn't you basically just describe the cuisine?

San Angel Inn...Mexican
Les Chefs De France/Bistro de Paris..French
Le Cellier..steaks, etc
Marrekesh...middle eastern
Biergarten..german
and so on

Sci Fi..fun atmosphere..burgers,etc
mama melrose..italian
50's ...homey favorites..meatloaf and fried chicken

There are soooo many TS restuarants. Is she interested in the dining plan. If not...you can add even more restaurants to the list Paradiso 37, Don Shula's..etc.

LOL Ok sorry. How about I say - describe your favourite five in one line?

No don't think she's doing DDP.

I was meaning the unique ones really. Things like Cali Grill, Tusker, 1900, T-Rex. And descriptions like...I dunno...Chef Mickeys - buffet style family meal with the fab five in open atmosphere with the monorail running through :confused3.

So ok, this was probably toooo big a question. So I'll change it....How would you describe your favourite five?

Narcoossee's-amazing atmosphere with great surf and turf--and you can watch the fireworks!
Cali Grille--fancier restaurant with amazing goat cheese items (polenta and ravioli-2 different dishes) with another great view of the fireworks.
50's PT-homestyle food with the waitstaff making fun of you! ;)
Jiko-interesting selection with one of the best filets I've ever eaten.
Crystal Palace breakfast--great breakfast foods with Pooh! ;)

Le Cellier - Melt in your mouth steak
Ohanas - fun atmospher and great appetizers and meat skewers
Teppan Edo - great steak and shrimp japanese style and fun show
Crystal Palace - great buffet love salads and desserts love characters
50's prime time - good home cooking

Hmmm...let's see, something to please all the age groups...

1. 50's P/T....good food, fun atmosphere, great interaction with waitstaff.
2. Donald's breakfast at Tusker House....good food, fun characters, way inside the park so it's easy to get places
3. Sci-Fi..not my personal favorite but fun atmosphere, and decent food
4. Chef Mickey's.....all around good time
5. LeCellier...just plain good food, nice atmosphere

California Grill...Treat yourself to a white linen dining, enjoying beautifully presented food, whose complexity far surpasses anything you would cook for yourself, while your eyes feast on a panaromic view of Disney and beyond.

Boma (breakfast)...Feel like you are dining in an out door farmer's market with fresh food, including traditional American favorites, not to mention the made to order omelet station, and a few African dishes to spice up your meal.

Jiko...Deep colors calm and soothe your spirit as familiar food is served with a distinctive African twist. Take advantage of your server's wine knowledge to taste African wine from a well-stocked cellar.

The Plaza...Dine in the feeling of Main St. USA on the best burgers and sandwiches priced similar to counter service with table service convenience. Share your meal to ensure room for the classic sundaes served from the adjoining ice cream shop.

CRT...Enjoy the royal treatment dining in the iconic symbol of Disney. Princesses from lands near and far will meet and greet with you, posing for pictures and signing autograph books while you sit back, relax, and are served your meal. One of the few non-buffet character meals.

It's not that the Plaza and CRT are necessarily my favorites, but the Plaza is probably the best deal going in the MK for paying OOP, and CRT is a classic that I think everyone should do at least once.:goodvibes

Crystal Palace-Breakfast...Great food and wonderful environment with Pooh and Friends
Teppan Edo-Lunch...Love how they cook in front of you! Food very good
Ohana-Dinner-Fun Poly environment/Family style
50s Prime Time-Lunch or Dinner...Love how the Waitress/Waiters are all in character. Good American food
Cape May-Breakfast..Love Disney breakfasts! Beach theme at BC

Whispering Canyon Breakfast Yummy great southern style food, and I'm a true Southerner.

Sci Fi Great atmophere, burgers, onion rings, and milk shake to die for.

Tuskar House Mickey and friends great food with a few unusual items.

San Angels Romantic Traditional Mexican food not this Tex Mex crap we're used to.

Spirit of Aloha Show is very intertaining, the dances are beautiful along with the outfits they wear, food is o.k. not great but I'm more interested in the show than the food anyway. I plan on doing it again.

1. Biergarten- German buffet with interactive oom-pah band.

2. Tusker House Safari Breakfast- Donald and Daisy host a diverse buffet.

3. Mama Melrose- Italian in the dark.

4. Hollywood and Vine- More food than you can eat in more noise than you might enjoy.
