Just arrived at Disneyland today and had a fun encounter. We were walking to the Little Mermaid ride in California Adventure when my sister literally bumped into Derek Hough. She didn't recognize him, but my mom did, because we watched the Disneyland 60th Anniversay special he hosted that aired on ABC. My mom said "Hi Derek!" and he smiled and said hi back. We passed him again later that night at the Grand Californian Hotel. Maybe he gets free tickets after that hosting gig? I think he's there with family so of course we didn't bug him other than just saying hi. I looked at the #derekhough tag on Instagram though and it looks like he took some photos with fans. So if you'll be at the parks this week and want a pic with him, he seems cool with it, so just keep your eyes peeled! Have you ever seen a celebrity at Disneyland? :)

A couple of weeks ago we saw Zach and his wife from Little people big world. Said hi to him but didn't bother him with taking a picture probably not a very big star but he was someone i had seen on t.v. Also was there the day Dick VanDyke was there celebrating his birthday and got to see him in the parade which was very cool.

Last July, we saw JoJo (Dance Moms) and her family getting on Indiana Jones...Later that day, my 12 year old daughter spotted JoJo's big yellow bow on her head in front of Splash Mtn, ran over to her, asked to take a selfie, and instantly posted it on Instagram...she was very sweet and approachable! (my kiddo was in heaven:-))

Yes I've seen a couple of celebrities, and once they were filming a shot on Dumbo with some characters on the ride for an upcoming event! The celebrities I've seen are not as well known to all, except maybe older people...one was Remington Steele, (Pierce Brosnan, 1982-87) with his kids in Downtown Disney, luckily my friend recognized him then I turned around and there he was! Another time my son & I were standing right behind one of the Housewives from the defunct D.C. show, I think her name was Michelle (the one who went uninvited with her husband to a function at the white house?) and her boyfriend/fiance at the time, not sure if they were ever married, but I looked it up after I saw them, Neil Schon from Journey! He's so short in person, and he looks like he's had a few plastic surgeries, but since Journey is an all time favorite, I was thrilled nonetheless! I was too starstruck to ask for a picture though...other times I know that things were going on while we were there, I think Modern Family was filming their episode when we were there once, but we never saw them. Oh! I almost forgot! Saw Kurt Russell one year doing the Candlelight Processional! That was cool!! We didn't even pay to be up front, but we were able to get up fairly close.

I hope we get to see Derek! Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup2

When we went last New Years we saw Farrah Abraham (of teen mom fame, among other not so family-friendly things) getting her daughter's caricature near Ariel's grotto.

Last year Adam Sandler was in the jeep ahead of us on Indy, he waved to my boys and said "how ya doin?" they were thrilled! Over the years we have also seen Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna, pretty much the whole Wayans family together, Damon, Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans, David Arquette (sat in Turtle Talk the same show we did), and sports talk show host Jim Rome.

I haven't and prob wouldn't be paying close enough attention to know unless they were in my face lol DLR Prep school seen Vince Vaughn not to long ago she has some funny pics on her FB page...I would have LOVED to see him

This past Saturday, we saw the preview of The Jungle Book in Ca Adventure. It's directed by Jon Favreau, who also acts. When we came out of the theater, he was standing there. He took photos with a ton of people before moving into the theater.

At Disneyworld, sat next to Jim Caviezel and family for Wishes fireworks. Met Steven Tyler in the AKL lobby. And rode elevator with Jerry O'Connell and Rebacca Romijn at BWI. Not all in the same trip, lol.

We saw the rapper Coolio with his kids at Disneyland. They were being escorted by a plaid and eating Mickey Mouse ice creams. This was probably mid-late 90's.

My husband saw Joan Rivers coming off of Indian Jones. She was carrying her dog. Also mid-90's ish.

We saw Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) when we were there a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't have known, but dd follows Disney Celebs twitter account. There were actually quite a few celebrities spotted when we were there, but we only saw AP...he was getting to ride Space Mountain on repeat. Taylor Swift was there a couple days ago and dd would have melted on the spot if we'd seen her!

I saw Floyd Landis back in 2011! My brain was like, "Hey! That's Floyd Landis!" And my older wiser self was like, "No way!" So I turned my wife and I around for another look, and sure enough it was! My DW stalked him for a stealthy photo at a distance and he looked at her when she took the photo-and we felt bad:oops:

one was Remington Steele, (Pierce Brosnan, 1982-87) with his kids in Downtown Disney, luckily my friend recognized him then I turned around and there he was!

I would die.

DLR Prep school seen Vince Vaughn not to long ago

I would die again.

It's directed by Jon Favreau, who also acts. When we came out of the theater, he was standing there.

I might consider dying b/c he's been in some movies I love and what if Vince Vaughn was there with him talking about how "money" is is? Die.

And I get Kevin Federline.

Which was, by the way, only noticed because I noticed TWO plaids in the smoking section near the rafts. Two plaids in the smoking section with a bunch of rumpled scruffy young 20somethings. Two plaids perks my eyes up, and I scanned the group, and there, Federline.

But Vaughn and Brosnan...le sigh. And Favreau, very very nice.

It's also my dream to see Gwen Stefani. She's 2 months older than me and she got me through my 20s and I love her. Plus she was snarky about Disneyland in her 20s, as was I. :) (Tragic Kingdom for the youngsters)

Not in the hot hunk category, but Nigel Lythgoe was at DLR not long ago. Interesting to note that Nigel was walking with a plaid and the other 3 or 4 people with him stayed at a distance behind them. We saw them several times throughout the day, and that was always the same. Maybe they didn't want to be in any stealthy (or not) fan photots? ;)

We saw Michael Buble. Well, actually, we walked right past him, and I am too oblivious to notice. But my DD (20 something) stopped in her tracks with a gasp, and squeaked out a "Hi", to which he responded, "hello Princess" (presumably referring to the tiara on her head). Totally made her week. He was with a plaid and his fiancé. (now wife)

A few years ago I saw Travis Barker from Blink 182. He was walking toward me pushing a double stroller. Then 3 years ago my sister and I were sitting in the Tomorrowland Terrace area facing the exit for Buzz Lightyear when Nicolas Cage and his family walked right by us. They went into the exit for Buzz with a plaid. He was wearing a leather jacket like the one from National Treasure.

At this point, we're disappointed when we DON'T have a Disneyland celebrity sighting!

Some of the folks we've seen over the years, (some really familiar, some definitely B-list and below:)

Gary Sinise
Philip Seymour-Hoffman
Sheryl Crow
Jon Hamm (swoon)
Cindy Crawford (hubby saw her in elevator and to this day claims he had to fight her off, saying "Cindy, please, I'm a happily married man!"
Mandy Moore
Chaz Bono
John Stamos
Josh something from Project Runway
Rich Sommers (mad men)
Matt Giraud (Anerican Idol, who was really sweet and introduced us to some of his American Idol cast mates who hadn't made the top 12 or whatever number it was that year :))
Hank Azaria (surprisingly handsome in real life)

I know there have been others. I'd say the majority were seen at the Grand Californian. The best way to spot celebs is to look for the plaids.

Last year we saw Kendra Wilkinson and her family - I only noticed because they were entering RSR through the exit (with a plaid). Then later they were having lunch at Smokejumpers Grill while we were there.
