Lately it seems like most of the movies out on DVD are depressing, violent and full of death. We rented like 6 movies in a row, and all were filled with death and blood and it was horrible! The only happy one we have seen all month is Bringing Down the House. I don't mind them making movies like that, I just wish someone would start making more upbeat movies.

We are starting to rent old ones that we missed out on because we are so tired of watching people die on the TV. It is just really hard to have your emotions go through all that movie after movie.

Has anyone else noticed this??

I hear you about the depressing violent shows. We have recently rented "Old School", and "How to lose a Guy in 10 days." Both were entertaining. Of course, we are 6 years behind in the movies, so we could use suggestions,as well

how about these:

Kim Possible: The Secert Files
Two Weeks Notice
Chicago(musical)
Malibu's Most Wanted
Spongebob Squarepants dvd's
Bulletproof Monk

When we had family visiting this summer, we rented a DVD, and let them make the choice, it was Tears Of The Sun.

I sat there thinking to myself "why the heck are we watching this?" What an incredibly heart breaking and depressing movie. I got up several times to do things because I could hardly stand it!

I hope I never see it again.
