depressed

We just got back from a 3 day Disney cruise and my 16 year old seems very depressed. As a parent, what can I do to help her? Have any of you felt depressed after a cruise and what did you do? Thanks for your advice.

i would be happy if i got to go on a cruise, i cant understand how u can be depressed

I always find it difficult when I get back from holidays, and all the magic's over. She should get over it in a few days though, just be sympathetic, and try and make things fun at home for her.

they're probably depressed because it's over! whenever i get back from the world i'm depressed! heck, i get depressed on the halfway mark in the trip!

I always get depressed at the end of each trip. It's hard to adjust back to normal life, especially after a cruise! She'll (eventually) get through it.

i know when i get off a cruise i feel depressed, i miss being on the cruise and having so much fun and meeting people and being away from everyday living. I hate seeing it end. So yea its normal to be depressed after a cruise, she'll be fine in a few days or at least a week. It just takes time.

I know exactly how she feels. halfway through the trip i usually start getting depressed lol thinking that in a couple of days im going to have to say goodbye to them and probably never see these people again!

does she have the screen names of the people she met on the cruise? or phone numbers? because when ever i get back from a cruise sometimes if i talk to them online or call them it makes me feel better. Like everyone else said it takes time but try to get her mind off of it by doing fun things at home.
