Depressed in Tampa

I was bummed, too. DH just wasn't thrilled about the drive, and didn't feel comfortable with me driving by myself on the scary two lane road that goes from here to WDW.

I'm trying to keep my spirits up. DH has an interview Tuesday and I have one on Thursday, plus I'm supposed to be going to a crop on Sunday.

Thanks for the note. Hopefully I can make another meetup once we move to Tampa and have a freeway between us and the World.

I totally understand not wanting to drive that kind of road, they aren't my favorite either!

DH's mom lives in Tallahassee, and he has aunts and cousins all over the Tampa area. I was laid off from my job in April 2009, and the economy in CA is so bad that there were very few prospects for me. We found out we would need to move out of our house (rental) after 7 years, so DH decided that it would be an excellent time to move closer to family. My reasons for staying in CA did not outweigh his reasons for moving. DH left his job in CA for the move because DMIL offered us a generous financial gift to help with the move and getting set up, but we obviously need to go to work asap. He did try to transfer, but that didn't work out. Even though we had both submitted resumes for various positions, and were working with headhunters in Tampa, neither of us found positions before we moved so now we're here.
