My understanding is that if you book online you have to pay the full amount and when you phone up to book just a 10% deposit! so my question is if i book over the phone do i have to pay the balance in one go or can i pay it monthly (when i get paid) untill the payment date?? does that make sense lol and also if i go with the offer of booking by 30th Sept does that mean booking or does it mean book and pay?? sorry if that sounds very confusing :goodvibes i know what i mean!!:rotfl2:

Depends on when you plan to travel, if its soon you will have to pay all upfront. If its later you pay 10% and then the balance, you can phone up and pay it off in installments or another option could be to open a seperate account & move the money into it till its due to be paid:thumbsup2

I've just booked ..

for holidays arriving after Novemer 2011 I was told the deposit is 35% which is what I have paid .. balance due 14 weeks before travel.

you need to book with a Travel Agent or call DLP direct to pay a deposit though .. if you book through the web its the full amount ..

I have used Thomas Cook for mine as they are always brilliant :)

Apparently they changed this last Monday back to 10% as the 35% hadn't worked out as they'd hoped! I booked on Wednesday and someone did try to make me pay 35% deposit so I called back and spoke to someone else :goodvibes

I'm not sure if you pay in installments you have to pay a card fee each payment or if you only pay this once as this is the first time I've booked through DLP direct :confused3

35% is actually going to be pretty good for me as the holiday is just over £1,600 !! so its less to find before December when its due :)

have they gone back to 10% all round again ?

apparently so, the lady on the phone said the 35% deposit hadn't gone as well as they'd hoped, so I only presume bookings dropped?

I had overstretched myself holiday wise this month so the 10% was a blessing ;)
