So we have started to plan!!! :Pinkbounc Real planning this time!!!

We are going to do intimate and on the website it says that a deposit of one night's stay will be due within 2 weeks of signing a contract. That sounds like a VERY small amount of money! Is that right? I just want to know so we can plan things accordingly!

Thank you for your help!!!

Yay for planning!!!

Have you thought about doing the add-on intimate package? We did, and I'm sooo glad we did. We used Dreams Unlimited and are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 6 nights, with park hopper tickets, and the dining plan so we don't have to worry about ANYTHING on our honeymoon. After we put the deposit on our honeymoon package ($220) I was able to make my reservation with the wedding planner. The add-on cost for our Sea Breeze Point wedding was only $2350, which I didn't have to pay until about a week ago.

Anyhow to make a long post short, if you want to stick with the package Disney offers, your deposit is the cost of one night at a moderate resort. So I suppose it depends on when your wedding will be. :goodvibes I'm sure this is such an exciting time for ya'll! :groom: :bride:

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! :Pinkbounc

That information is 100% correct. Just one night's stay covers the deposit for an Intimate wedding.

Have fun planning - this board is full of wonderful information!! :earsgirl:

thank you for your responses! I called my BF to tell him and he said "yeah I know" because he is doing all of his own research as well! How CUTE!!!!

He is actually a cast member (a campus rep) so we are going to get major discounts on the hotel so I don't think we will add on any packages because I am an AP holder as well so I think it would be cheaper for us not to. But thank you for your advice!!!

That's great news!! Actually, an add-on would be perfect for you. (I hope that doesn't come off as argumentative  ). With the add-on you can book your rooms on your own, getting your DH2B's discount. Then once you pay the 1 night deposit for that, just call up DFTW to book your wedding. This way your wedding is only $2350 and you've already paid your deposit. If you don't do it this way, the total wedding price is $3500 (unless you choose the WP, which is more $) and that includes 4 nights at a moderate. So if you can get better hotel rates, I would for sure book the rooms & wedding seperate. The only catch is you have to book at least 4 nights.

HTH :earsgirl:

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is THAT what an add on is??? hahahaha I thought it was one of those plans that include things like a round of golf, or trip to Cirque! hahaha I should read it! I just assumed that is what it is! It WOULD save LOTS of money!
thank you!!!!
