Deposit for add-ons?

We really want to add-on through DVC to our BCV contract. I know we will have to go on the waitlist. I was wondering if they take a deposit and if they do, how much of a deposit would they take for an add-on of about 25-30 points? TIA

In December we went on a waitlist for BWV (50 points). The credit card isn't charged until the points come in, and I understand that we will be charged a 10% deposit when that happens.

My guide told me they take your credit card, and when the points come thru, they immediately charge $500 to your card to hold the points. Then, they contact you to see if you want the balance of the 10% (or 20%) put on that card, or if you want to pay it another way. So, all that really HAS to be charged to your card is $500.
