when I was watching that show, I kept comparing myself and friends to different characters. I'm sure we all have at least one story that would make a good episode. Here's mine:
when dd1 was in elementary school and dd2 was just a baby, my husband was extremely concerned with finances. He was especially concerned with the amount of money I spent on groceries each week (which was ironic since he was also the person complaining there was never any food in the house). He was under the impression that $50. a week for the four of us was reasonable. (this included any household items I purchased at the grocery store - toilet paper, cat food, diapers, detergeant, etc.). At first I thought about him doing the shopping, but after picturing him returning only with meat and nothing else I decided against it. Finally I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to the grocery store, bought 3 lbs. bologna, 3 lbs. cheese, a jar of mayo, and 2 loaves of bread. When I came home I told him I spent less than $50. this week.
He was very happy until he asked what was for dinner? lunch? breakfast? That was the end of the $50.00 grocery bill fight.
