Staying at the CBR and trying to formulate a plan for our last day.

As I see it we have two options:

1) Eat breakfast at OPR, check out, leave luggage and carry-ons with hotel staff, then make use of the pool. The only problem with that is how do you get the kids showered and changed once you've checked out?

2) Eat breakfast at OPR, check out, leave luggage and carry-ons with hotel staff, hop on a shuttle bus over to Downtown Disney, walk around DD, have lunch (ADR at RFC for 1230pm,) head back to CBR on a shuttle bus no later than 230pm to to hop onto our ME bus which I assume leaves for the airport at 330pm (3 hours prior to our flight departure).

Which sounds more reasonable? Can you think of any other alternative way to kill an afternoon?

you could do either.... I don't like RFC so I know what my choice is:rotfl2: either way most resorts have a shower and changing rooms by each pool..... so that should be fine just pack wet suits in a plastic bag for the trip home! Unless you're doing RAC, then you pack them in a plastic bag in your carryon and take home. to me,that's not 'killing an afternoon' that's an extra day of relaxing and enjoying myself:banana: I LOVE enjoying a final day of leisure with a nice breakfast and/or lunch accompanied by being lazy!

Does anyone know for sure if CBR has a changing/showering area? Are they clean?

You always have the option of getting on the plane smelling like chlorine.

If you don't have to catch your ME bus until 3:30, then I vote that you add a day to your park tickets and spend the morning in a theme park.

I think 7 non-stop days of theme parks is enough.

Besides we're not exactly the type that actually make it to a rope drop so by the time we pack and get our act together, it wouldn't be worth the 1 or 2 hours actually spent in the park.

I enjoy DTD on the lest day. Take a change of clothes for the kids and they can run around in the splash fountains there.

DTD sounds like more of a hassle than going to a park. Spend the day relaxing and enjoying your resort. All resorts* have a pool house with showers. It's Disney so I'm sure they're much cleaner than the YMCA.

*Except the BYC. OK :)

I would resort hop-maybe do a character breakfast at 'Ohana, check out the Poly, take the monorail to GF and CR then head to WL Whispering Canyon for lunch. DTD makes me nervous-the buses have been so sporadic when we have gone there I would be worried about making it back on time.

Don't forget about the luggage check in -- take your checked bags to the baggage check-in place at your hotel and they will check them through to your final destination. No waiting in lines at the airport or struggling to get checked bags on/off DME.

Not at the Beach and Yacht Clubs! The company that runs the spa somehow managed to get EXCLUSIVE use of the locker rooms and showers. The spa staff will PREVENT you from using the locker rooms/indoor showers. In fact the spa staff expects you to use the rest rooms outside the locker rooms if you are using the gym.

There are OUTDOOR lockers and an OUTDOOR shower, open to the pool area. To clarify we are talking about an outdoor shower with no walls/curtains/privacy of any type. To change you would have to go into a REST ROOM.

All this at a Disney DELUXE hotel. Thanks Yacht and Beach Club management! :furious:
