Departure day after checkout: where does your toddler nap?

We had a hard time last year b/c I forgot about a nap the day of departure. Our flight left at 6 pm, and we had to check out by 12 noon. I can't even remember where the ol' crankster finally crashed, but it was not a pleasant experience nor one I'd like to repeat.

So, what are you other parents of toddlers doing/ have you done on departure day?

1. What time do you try to schedule your return flight home?

2. Where do you find a place for your toddler to take a midday nap? We don't want to check out at the crack of dawn in order to time his nap with the flight. He can't last any longer than 1:30 before he starts to melt down, and will not nap in a stroller. We'll be at the Polynesian on departure day - - do they have a cool, quiet place he could sleep for an hour?

Thanks!

When we stayed at Poly they had cabanas on the beach. I would think that would be a great place to put the little one down. My DGS fell asleep on the train at MK so we just rode for a while and let him sleep.
