Now I am really hurting - any referals? Anyone open on Sunday? (dream, I know)...

thanks for any info.

I'd say call one of the local hospital er's and ask them. They should know. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear about your chipped tooth.
The ER is a good suggestion. If it doesn't work, try asking the front desk where you are staying, First Aid in one of the parks or try calling a dentist from the yellow pages. Most dental offices have an after hours answering service or pager number for emergencies.

You could try DOCS (Doctors On Call Service) I have never used them personally. It's owned by local (Orlando) Doctors, and is supposed to be 24 hr oncall, if they don't have Dentists they may have one to refer you to.

A few years ago my DH and I were at WDW and his third molars (wisdom teeth) flared up. The great CM's at the GF gave us the name of Dr. Gary Nelson who has a practice in Kissimmee. At the time his office was in Celebration. Not sure if he is still there. He saw us late on a Saturday night. He gave us a Rx for an antibiotic and some antiseptic mouth rinse for the inflamation. Dr. Nelson saved our pre-paid 7 night Grand Plan Vacation!
All that said, I would highly recommend him. Look him up in the phone book.

with the exception of complete/partial avulsion of a tooth, "chipped" teeth are only cosmetic and require no urgent intervention... seeing a dentist on a sunday is a rare and quite expensive occurrence... call an area dentist's office tomorrow...

Ouch! Hope that you got this fixed and could enjoy vacation....

for anyone else who may need a dentist, I needed some emergency repairs and went to a dentist in Lake Buena Vista next to the post office and the Eckerds just off Palm Parkway.

Excellent service, very high tech. (but unfortnately out of my insurance coverage range, and they weren't pleased to hear me whispering in german with the poor cast member from Germany about the prices as she decided what to do!)

If you do need a dentist, I do recommend this place - after all, on vacation you don't want to hunt around and take a risk with a poor quality dentist!!

I certainly hope your tooth is better now and you're enjoying your vacation. In reading this thread I saw the info about Docs on Call. I've bookmarked that and will take it with me for my next trip. Just consider it part of my first-aid kit. Especially with two small children, it might come in handy for minor emergencies.

Thanks for all the advice and good wishes!!

Saturday was the worst day - and that was the day of the black tie wedding and reception... :(

but i survived.. Sunday I wrote down all the numbers and decided I would wait and see what Monday brought.

I felt tons better by Monday and I am home now - and will see my dentist tomorrow!!

We had a great trip anyway!

Sue
