Dennis Basso or Pamela McCoy? (faux fur)

I want to buy a faux fur coat now that I've left FL. There are no stores close to me that have what I want. Must order online and QVC has the Dennis Basso line, ShopNBC has the Pamela McCoy line. I've seen neither, nor do I know anyone who has one. Can't tell a thing online really, although I do read the reviews and zoom in on the pics till my eyes hurt. So, anyone here have a coat by either of these people or actually seen one in person? I'm fearing both lines are trash.

Judging from what I have seen only on tv you are totally correct. I like to watch these shows when they sell clothing because I like to hear how they take the ugliest outfit ever and make it sound like it is couture. You might however look into the joan rivers line she seems to at least have some style other than matron.

I know exactly what you're saying. Was just browsing a bit and didn't find any coats currently by Joan, but I did come across a line by Donna Salyer that looks far more promising.

I have purchased both, & have never had reason to be sorry. The Pamela McCoy coat is really stunning, & I get compliments from both men & women on it. It's incredibly soft. The Basso product I purchased is a throw, & it's really beautiful, but not soft like real fur, but for a photography prop it's really perfect. Since real fur is an absolute NO NO for me, these designers are a good alternative. Furthermore, both QVC & NBC are totally reliable sellers that will accept returns without any questions or problems.
I ran across this site because I am very interested in acquiring another coat, & have been looking at both of these designers. One little thought on any kind of fur is that you don't wear it unless it's very cold, or you personally get cold easily, because you can get overheated quickly. Consequently, it's a short season to wear for me, so it's a for fun coat, as opposed to an everyday wearable coat. Good luck, & pay attention to the customer reviews on both sites to give you hints on size/fit or quality/style of specific coats.
