Demolition Sale

We just opened a new high school that is right next to the old one built in 1923. On Saturday there is a demolition auction in the old building of everything they couldn't use in the new school such as lockers, desks, computers, printers, bookcases, etc. I'm going to go and check it out. I went to school there and so did my brother, sister and oldest 2 boys. My dad taught there for 36 years. I want to get a locker for my DS who has his room decorated in a sports theme. This is an auction so I hope I get one. I think it is a cool idea for the school to do this. People get mementos of the old school before it is torn down and the school gets to make a little extra money for the students.

That is a really neat idea! I hope you get a locker and that the school system makes a lot of money for new supplies!

I live about an hour or so west of there..near Millville. I may go check that out.

They don't build schools like they use to. 1923, I bet that school was beautiful, and you shouldn't have trouble finding something you like. Maybe an old desk. A school in Dayton was being demolished and they did the same thing.
