Deluxe Magic Feature & Concierge Question

Hi! We are going to WDW in August, and would like to use the in park photo session as our flex feature. Has anyone done this before, and do you know if it includes the photos themselves, or just a photographer to take the pictures for 1/2 an hour? Do you have the schedule the session in advance, or can you schedule it when you check in?
Also, we are staying at the WL honeymoon room, which is a concierge level room. Does anyone know how soon in advance they will contact you to help you plan out your itinerary? Perhaps they could help with the flex features.

Heather, you must be talking about the “Honeymoon Deluxe Magic” vacation package because the normal “Deluxe Magic” vacation package did not have a photo session listed in the 2002 brochure that I received a few weeks ago. I have not done the Deluxe Magic plan myself (only the Grand Plan), so I can’t answer your specific questions (hopefully someone else will). However, I did type up everything that I found in the Deluxe Magic brochure and posted it here on the DIS – here’s the link: Deluxe Magic Vacation Plan 2002 Thread.

Take a look through that thread to see a list of things that you may do while on your package stay; that should at least give you a head start regarding what activities to plan. Also, I would not wait until the last minute to book any specific activities, especially if you are going during one of WDW’s busier seasons. It is always much easier to book things as soon as you can, as opposed to attempting to book something at the last minute (please try to at least book all your must-do activities; the rest can probably wait until you’re on vacation).

Regarding the Honeymoon Deluxe Magic vacation package, the Disney website states: “Professional Honeymoon Photography Session at the Disney Theme Park of your choice (includes 20 4x6 photos presented in a deluxe album).” I think that answers one of your questions.
