Hi!

Just a heads up. According to MDE so far the deluxe evening hours for December are Epcot on Mondays and AK on Wednesdays! This is true for first two weeks of December so far.

As far as Epcot - what can we really get done during that time? Is LWTL open? Is Soarin pretty easy? I imagine that Remy and Frozen still have long lines?

I got a lot done at Epcot in May during extended evening hours. I did not watch the fireworks, so starting at 9 pm, I did:

Test Track (30 min)
Guardians of the Galaxy (VQ 35 min)
Frozen (15 min)
Remy (11 min)

Living with the Land is not open during extended hours but Soarin is.

Thanks! Test Track will be closed and Guardians we will have done already, but looks like Frozen and/or Remy may be doable!

I’m not 100% sure but I think the walkway in between the rides is closed for evening hours. So make sure you go the other way around. Hopefully someone can verify to save you time!
I rode Soarin a few times in a row one year. They let me just stay on. It was awesome.

Which walkway?

Last year mid-December we watched Luminous by the France bridge. After the show Remy had 110min posted wait. We were debating whether to go on and a few minutes later it changed to 70mins. We got on line and it ended up only being 15 minutes.

It was about 9:25pm when we joined the line.

I’m so happy to hear they are using AK to replace MK instead of doubling up EP like last year.

During EEH World Showcase closes between Norway and France :( You can’t walk through.

I’m bummed that they are only keeping AK open until 6 on the other nights though. We will miss the AK deluxe hours, so would’ve liked AK open until 7. Still hoping maybe for holidays they will add an hour

Hi.
Do you need a park ticket to get into the DEHs? I'm AP but with some that aren't but all staying at BWVs.
Thank you.

You need a ticket and need to be staying at a deluxe resort.
Thank you.
We will be at BWVs but if this was on a non-park day, I thought maybe my bff could still go and not use a park day (I have AP).
Oh well.

We check in 12/21 and I’m hoping for one Epcot and one AK night EETPH. 12/23 (mon was going to be non park day). 12/30 will be MK for us.

It’s so difficult to plan dining (free dining plan) without knowing park hours. I’m sure the NYEE dessert parties will not be released on time either.

Thank you.

Sorry NM I misunderstood. Your friend doesn't have an AP.

Last year the Sun/Mon/Tues before Christmas AK was open to 8pm (Dec 17, 18, 19).

Dec 1-16 was no later than 7pm.

I think it’s likely they add an hour for 7pm closing, and possibly a chance for 8pm some nights. *fingers crossed*

I'm excited for my October and December trips. I usually only get to the Epcot or Magic Kingdom extra hours but we are there during a Hollywood Studios night in October and an Animal Kingdom night in December. It's definitely sad that AK closes earlier most nights.

For the original poster: All of the times I have done extra hours the waits are fairly short (ex: Seven dwarves mine train is regularly 10-15 minutes at MK). The wait times may be high at the very beginning of extra hours when any regular guests get into the line at a popular attraction to ride it one more time. At Epcot I would probably avoid Remy's or Frozen right at close and do Soarin' or something else for a bit, then hit the two big ones once the regular guests clear out of their last ride when the wait is at it's shortest.

When we got off Frozen, the walkway to China was blocked off so we had to walk the other way to Remy.

But if you're skipping Test Track and Guardians, you could probably do Frozen, then Soarin, then Remy!
