Insaw this posted on another thread and I thought I would ask herre Some posted that they have two rooms at a value resort with free dining. ( so do I) they are going to upgrade one room to deluxe dining and keep the other room at quick service and the people in the rooms will share the credits. We upgraded both our rooms to regular dining, so I am interested to see if anyone sees an advantage of doing what this other person did. We have 2 adults and 2 kids in one room and 3 adults in the other room. I am assuming the adults could share TS and QS credits and the kids would just keep theirs. What would the price difference be?

Looks like it was $128/night to upgrade both rooms to the DDP. Is that correct? It would be right at $164/night to upgrade the room with 2A/2K. Right now, you can use kids credits to purchase adult meals. So you would then have 12TS credits per night to share between the 7 of you and you would still have the 6 QS credits per night to share as well. This should allow you to do more TS meals or a signature or two AND you get appetizers at any a la carte place.

Sure there are advantages to deluxe dining. You get an appetizer as part of the credit and the credits are also not split between child/adult, so kids can order off the adult menu if they choose to.

We're doing this, I don't think I mentioned it in the other thread though maybe I did.

We have 2 rooms, 3 "adults" and 1 child. The child is EXTREMELY picky, like even mac n cheese and chicken fingers are yucky. Dh & ODS are foodies so we eat a couple of signature restaurants and some regular table service with only the random/rare counter service.

All that plus from what I've seen here the QS and DxDP don't differentiate between kid/adult credits so we're upgrading one room to Dx and sharing all the credits. At many places we'll pay for yds' noodles with butter (yeah, I know) out of pocket.

You can do this. Just need to be sure to eat with at least one person from each room. QS payments from the QS room band, and TS payments from the TS room band.
