Could someone please tell me what the price difference per night is for the deluxe dining plan vs. the regular magic your way plus dining??

Thanks a bunch!
Kim

DDP
1TS (Entree, Dessert, Beverage)
1CS (Entree, Dessert, Bevarage)
1Snack
Per night of your stay. Tax is included, Gratuity is not

DxDDP
3 Credits per night of your stay. These are flexible credits and can be used for TS or CS. Appetizer is included at TS locations for lunch and dinner.
2 Snacks per night of your stay.

1 refillable mug per person on the plan

Tax is included, Gratuity is not.

So, let me get this straight- with the deluxe dining plan your credits could be used for two table services per day or one counter service and one table service and the appetizer is included for both??

I might be confused, let me know if thats correct.

Kim

Any combination - yes and appetizers are included at TS.
So you can do 3 cs in one day or 3 TS in one day or a 2TS dinner and 1 cs a day.
If you are staying 7 nights - each person has 21 credits to be used as they wish : 21 ts meals or 21 cs meals (obviously not cost effective on the cs meals.

You could do several different combinations of meals;

3 CS a day, (not worth the cost though.)
3 1-TS meals a day
1 1-TS & 1 2-TS meals a day
or some combination of CS and TS totaling to 3 credits.

Of course, you could always do three two-TS meals in one day, even if your only going for two nights, and then just live on the snack credits the next day, but I wouldn't recommend that.

On my first full day with the deluxe plan I am planning on using five credits, (two for breakfast at CRT, one for lunch, and two for a signature dinner,) there are other days however when I'm only using two credits. It all works out in the end though with my plan.

With the DxDDP the Appetizer is included for Lunches and for Desserts

Your credits can be used as you see fit. You can use them for any combination of CS and TS during the day.

The deluxe plan works best for us. If you eat:

3TS X $20 $60
tax 4 4
2SC X 3 6
------------$70

That alone covers the cost per day for the plan. Your meals will easily be more than $20 each and this includes a refillable mug too!

For kids it's even better. One character meal and one TS will cover the $20 cost of their plan. That's equivalent to getting one meal and 2 snacks per day for free....plus the mug!

If you get it during the free dining promo, (if it's offered this year,) you can get the deluxe plan for $32 a night, then it's an even better deal.

Thank you guys for explaining it for me, it really sounds like a good deal too!!

Thanks again.

Of course there's always the concern of can you actually eat that much food? I'm okay with it since I'm doing all the signature restaurants, but if I were eating three TS meals every day for eleven days, it would be too much for me. I'd still just about break even though cost-wise compared to what I usually spend on food, which is anywhere between $50 and $80 a night.

We are doing a lot of character meals and a few 2 credit ones. We are eating two meals a day, with the exception of one day we will have 3. We are saving approx. $380. Not too much food for us and a pretty hefty savings. We don't gorge ourselves....but we don't feel the need to clean our plate each course. That goes for on the DDP or not.

I wonder if some value can also be recognized from the convenience and flexibility of the plan? Our family could really benefit in a couple of years from teens being able to eat when and what they want without worry over not enough credits. I'm sure even the most hungry teenager could get by on a refillable mug, 2 snacks per day, and 3 full course meals!

Nah. One mid-morning or mid-day buffet, and one evening signature meal - and water for the snack credits or (at least for me, and assuming they're still included) the white chocolate raspberry cookies at Goofy's Candy Company, to bring home...

We are staying 7 nights and have the DxDDP. Even if we don't arrive until the evening on our first day, do we still have 3 credits for that day?

Yes. You recieve 3 credits per person, per night you stay at the hotel.

If they offer free dining this year the deluxe will be only $32? Will they allow this? I am thinking of a vacation the last week of Aug for my finance and I and this would be wonderful!

Thanks

...okay, this may sound like a really stupid question, but can one get the Dining Plan if they are DVC owners, or staying at SSR, OKW, BWV, etc??
