We are doing a split stay, 1 night BCV, other nights BWV for Food and Wine this October. So here is my question. During F&W, we typically only do the Dining Plan if we are doing a split stay for part of the time, not the whole time because of all the great food choices at F&W. So would like to understand this. IF we choose to do Deluxe Dining Plan, am I correct that you can get 3 table service meals or combination thereof. So the first night we plan to Yachstman, 2 table service credits. Then the next night, we might like to dine at Chef De France, 1 table service. I want to avoid the problem of the split stay nightmare of dining credits that we experienced two years ago:confused3. I understand that we must use the dining credits from our BCV stay by midnight of the next day, EVEN THOUGH we have checked into BWV early afternoon, 2nd day. How can we prevent a problem with using 1 dining credit for dinner at Chef de France from our BCV stay? Has the dining plan "glitch" possibly been corrected when you have a split stay with any good luck?
I thought I remember hearing that at "worst case scenario" if the 1 dining leftover credit is not showing when we dine at Chef de France, to charge the meal to our room via the credit card on file, and the resort will take it off? MUCH THANKS:goodvibes for any tips on using dining plan credits when you have already checked out of first resort of the split stay.

I think this might only potentially create issues if you are checking in and have a new dining plan on the second half of your stay, then people are concerned about using up the expiring ones first and you cannot combine from the two stays. Your credits should remain active until midnight of the day you check out. Just save all of your receipts, I'm sure it can be fixed if there is a glitch

Now that I think about it, yes, there was a problem in the past when we had DDP at both segments of the split stay. Hopefully all will go well, but if not charging to room then the resort would manually credit the charge would work. THANKS for your feedback!:goodvibes;)

This is exactly our plan too!! We never pay for the dining plan, and very rarely do character meals! Our upcoming stay, we have a 1 night only at BLT, and I thought this would be a great time to do deluxe just that one night! Do Chef Mickeys on our check in night, then CRT the next!! Plus have all the snacks and mugs that are essentially free once you factor in what the cost would have beenf or those two character meals!!

Absolutely! Especially during F&W, snack credits can be used for fun "munchies"! Enjoy your stay also!:goodvibes:cool1:
