Hi,

I'm trying to guide a friend on this plan. Can you choose three TS meals or do you have to include at least one CS. Thank you in advance.

Lisa

As far as I know you get 3 table service meals per day with the deluxe dining plan.

With the Deluxe you decide if you want your meal to be TS or CS. You also get 2 snacks per paid person per day and a resort refillable mug per paid person.

You can do what you want... you can eat 3 ts per day or 3 cs per day... or 1cs and 1 signature 2ts meal... its all up to you... we are doing the Dulx plan are have very excited as we are getting to eat at I think 4 signature dinner places and still have plenty of credits available for other meals... :)

we are booking the deluxe dining... say one day I wanted to do the Royal Table for breakfest then a counter service, and then hoop dee doo for dinner, is this possible??

Thanks Isabell

Say you have a four night stay. You will receive 12 meal credits per person (3 for each night of your stay).

You can use those any day and in any combination you want. Say on your arrival day (which would probably not be a full day at WDW), you have dinner in a 1 credit place, so you’re left with 11 credits. Say further that you wanted to take your first full day and do what you said (CRT breakfast, 2 credits; counterservice, 1 credit; Hoop de Doo, 2 credits) then for that day you will have used 5 total meal credits, leaving 6 credits to use over the remaining days of your stay.

You can then divide those 6 credits up any way you want over the next 2 1/2 days. Obviously they’ll go further if you use them for counter service or 1 credit table service than they will if used for 2 credit table service.

yes you can... you get 3 credits for each night... you can use as many credits as you want any day... but you only get that many... for example you are staying 10 NIGHTS you would get 30 credits for the entire stay... you fly in late the 1st night and dont use any credits...well you still have 30 credits... 2nd night you eat at Cinderells RT for Breakfast (2 credits) + Narcoossees for lunch (2 credits) and Hoop de Roo Revue (2 credits) = 6 so then you would have 24 credits for you remaining time.... CLEAR AS MUD... LOL

I love the idea of having the extra credits, however I did the math and I am a bit concerned about the extra price. For myself, wife and 5 year old it would be an extra $750 and the gratuity is not included in most meals. I am thinking it is not worth it for us even though it would be cool to do the character dining and upscale dining we wanted to always do.

That is sooo awesome.... guess what it is being booked... we are going back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi There,

My wife & I (& 2 children 8 & 6) are considering a DDP for a 4 day stay. We definitely see the advantage of the base plan, but is the premium plan worth the extra $$$? Can anyone tell me the avg % savings? Last trip to WDW was March of 2003. How can I find out the current menu pricing, or can you?

Thanks,

Steve

I did the math last night. I was buying a DDE & have changed my mind. On a 5 day/4 night stay meals, snacks, mugs came to appox.$1100. The DxDP cost $720.

Hello. I read someplace on DIS that the TS credits on the Deluxe Dining Plan could not be used for CS, that they can only be used for TS meals. From the above posts, it sounds like that is not true. Would someone please clarify for me. Thanks!

If you read the Disney Dining Deluxe brochure, it well tell you that it can be redeemed at over 100 quick service and table service restaurants. The appetizer is not included in the quick service option. A buffet is considered to be table service.

Since it is a new plan that no one has tried yet and very dependant upon how you use it, it would be tough to guess at average savings. You can figure our how it would work for you using the menus at Allearsnet.com (http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm) and WDWinfo.com (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/disneydining.cfm).

I figured that we'll save about 18% on the plan on our ADRs alone, and we don't have every credit spoken for. I also haven't figured in the value of the snacks or mugs, or of any CS we might eat. We're using the plan for 2 sit down meals per day on most days, with a lot of signature meals and character meals.

I agree with the poster above.. it is good to sit down with the specifics of your family and figure out the costs! We are doing try DxDP for the five of us next year -- DH, me, DD7, DD5 and DD20 months. We love character meals for the kids and wanted to try and get ressies this time for CRT and another 2 credit meal as well.

For us- -(and this is all rough estimates).. I figured out the cost of the DP 576 + 115 CRT + 200 OOP CS costs, + 80 extra cost for food for DD20months (since we will have to buy another meal at CS for her v. eating at a family style or buffet place) + 48 tips (estimate again).. we came to $1019
This was for 7 table service meals, 11 counter service.

for the Deluxe DP-- 1080 + 148 tips (estimate again) and got $1228. This is for 13 table service meals, 3 counter service meals, and two meals from extra snack credits.

The difference was $209-- and for that we get to eat 6 more table service meals than the other plan. I know it wouldn't work out this way for everyone, since we really like to do a lot of character meals.. but we definitely want to give it a try.

Have a great trip- jen

I can't remember the price per person per day. Can someone please post. Thanks~ :)

We did the DDP in Jan 2006 & 2007 (2 adults, 2 kids 7 & 4). We really enjoyed the plan and found that it worked well for our family :thumbsup2 . We always had more than enough food even if our youngest shared from our plate occasionally. Often the leftovers from the CS & TS or both (mostly dessert) were kept as a treat for later popcorn:: or taken back to the hotel. We are not big on breakfast so had cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. in our room before heading out. We had dinner ADR for 3 character meals (Akershus, Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef Mickey’s), the Fantasmic package (Hollywood & Vine) and enjoyed the Hoop-de-doo. We did have to pay $$ for little extras like suckers, fudge, 1 mug and Planet Hollywood anyway.

Because of our experiences, we know the regular DDP works well for our family. At this time, for our upcoming trip, my husband & I just don’t know :confused3 if the extra cost of the deluxe plan can be justified for only the extra 1 TS & 1 snack per day that we probably won’t use because the restaurant or snack isn’t included in the plan. Every family is different. :)

However, I am keeping an open mind as this is new. And, I can understand that if you are planning all your ADRs at signature restaurants which 2 TS per person is required how the deluxe plan might be a good option.

Any suggestions or opinion are welcome. :goodvibes Thanks.
