We did the DDP in Jan 2006 & 2007 (2 adults, 2 kids 7 & 4). We really enjoyed the plan and found that it worked well for our family

. We always had more than enough food even if our youngest shared from our plate occasionally. Often the leftovers from the CS & TS or both (mostly dessert) were kept as a treat for later

or taken back to the hotel. We are not big on breakfast so had cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. in our room before heading out. We had dinner ADR for 3 character meals (Akershus, Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef Mickeys), the Fantasmic package (Hollywood & Vine) and enjoyed the Hoop-de-doo. We did have to pay $$ for little extras like suckers, fudge, 1 mug and Planet Hollywood anyway.
Because of our experiences, we know the regular DDP works well for our family. At this time, for our upcoming trip, my husband & I just dont know

if the extra cost of the deluxe plan can be justified for only the extra 1 TS & 1 snack per day that we probably wont use because the restaurant or snack isnt included in the plan. Every family is different.
However, I am keeping an open mind as this is new. And, I can understand that if you are planning all your ADRs at signature restaurants which 2 TS per person is required how the deluxe plan might be a good option.
Any suggestions or opinion are welcome.

Thanks.
