My DH and I will be going in Jan 2010. Want to do the Deluxe plan, because we would like to have a signature dinner almost every night, and a table service lunch.

Do you think that this would be a waste of money, or should we go with the Basic Dining Plan, and combine some of the table service credits for dinner and the other dinners pay out of pocket????

Not sure what to do!!!!

This is what we did during our last trip in June. We were on the Deluxe DDP. We would have cereal in the room in the morning, have TS lunch, and sigmature dinners every night. We really enjoyed being able to go to great restaurants with amazing food. I think that it is definately NOT a waste. Seems like you are pretty excited about where you would be eating also, so i would say go for it!:thumbsup2

To maximize benefit of deluxe dining plan, you have to eat an appetizer, entree and dessert per person twice a day. We tried it on 2 different trips and both times, we just started skipping meals because we were so miserably full. Sure you don't have to eat all of the food but we hated ordering it and not eating it. Both times we left with many credits left.

We've also tried the regular plan once but disliked it because we do not like counter service meals.

We still do a signature every night (split appetizer and skip dessert usually) but we just pay OOP now and just get some sort of snack during the day. Money wise we come out ahead and it fits our eating style better.

Many people love the deluxe and make it work for them but only you know if it will work for you.

We were thinking of using our snacks for breakfast (bagels and juice, and oatmeal from home) and doing what you did..ts for lunch sig for dinner!

Pretty much the whole reason we're doing deluxe is because we didn't like any of the CS restaurants while on the basic plan, like you stated.

So what dining plan do you use, if any?

It's not that we eat a whole lot...like 6 small meals a day i'd say, but we're looking at what will be less expensive for our eating style, because we DEFINITELY want to have a signature meal every night (7) that we are there. So I figured that maybe the Deluxe plan would be the best way to go money wise..

What do you think?!
