I'm considering getting the DDXDP for our trip and have a question. With this plan do we each get 3 TS credits per day? I was hoping to use 1 TS for breakfast and then 2 TS at a Signature restaurant (per person) each day. Is this allowed?

Thanks!

Jennifer

Absolutely. I have lots of my days booked like that. You can use your TS meals anyway you wish. (some days you could use 4, like if you were doing a breakfast, lunch and a signature dinner, other days you could just use two, etc.) It's up to you. :)

It is three/night though not per day. You can move them around your stay as it works best for you.

I just used the DxDDP May 3rd-10th. I booked the earliest lunch ADR (as soon as the restaurant opened), then did a 2 credit Signature restaurant every night around 7:00-7:30pm. It worked out great. Don't forget each person also gets two snack credits/day though. I still had over half of my snack credits that I had to use the last day. Thank goodness for Goofy's at DTD:rolleyes1 .

Just FYI: I ate at lunches at Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, Yak & Yeti, Raglan Road, Whispering Canyon, Tony's, and San Angel Inn. For dinner each night, I used two credits at Flying Fish, Yachtsman, Citricos, California Grill, Jiko, Artist Point, and Narcoosee.

For my snack credits I ran by the Bakery in France my first night and picked up a Raspberry Schuss, Napoleon, and a Pithivier to keep in the fridge for breakfast the next few mornings. I also picked up six beignets at POFQ food court one morning for breakfast and an Apple Charlotte and a piece of carrot cake at Main Street Bakery two mornings. I also got a strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons one day when I just needed to sit and cool off. I then had to make a run to Goofy's to finish using up my snack credits for treats to bring home. I was able to get a milk chocolate-mint smoothie, carrot cookie, German chocolate cookie, and four pieces of fudge to bring home.

By the way, I was traveling solo that trip, so you can imagine the snack credits you'll probably have left over if you were a family.

Oooh, aubriee that all sounds so yummy! I think I'm going to try to schedule at least one early lunch. Hubby loves to start out his day with a big breakfast though. He's not really a theme park person if you know what I mean. He could go to Disney and just eat and lie by the pool and be perfectly happy.

We've been to Disney many, many times so I'm thinking we're not going to worry so much about trying to do things and concentrate more on just having a nice relaxed trip (and stuffing ourselves silly!).

Pretty much, yes.

You get 3 credits per booked night. You can use those credits for CS or TS...your choice...though using them more for TS places increases value.

Just like with the regular DDP, you can use 2 of those credits for one Signature Dining Experience.

So your plan sounds like it will work out just fine.

Nope....it's per night.;)

aubriee, we used the deluxe for 5 of our nights in May too and used our credits for lunch and dinner.

Semantically, correct.

I'll edit it to clarify.

But the sentiment remains the same.

Well, no it's not semantics nor sentiment.

I always notice it because years ago, the old Gold Key plan was 3 meals/day (including what are now signature restaurants). Then a few years after we started doing it, the verbiage was changed to per night. It really does make a difference and I think it's good if people know the correct info so they don't plan on three extra credits they won't have.

Consider a one night stay at AKV. One might plan lunch at Mama Melrose and dinner at Jiko for the first day. Second day, Boma for breakfast and dinner at California Grill....except there are no entitlements left for the second day as it it per 3 night.

I understand the difference, and thus edited my post. It was an issue of using the wrong semantics (WORDS) to express the same point:

My point was that the actual POINT (sentiment) of my original post remains the same...that using 2 credits for a Signature dining experience and 1 for a TS is fine.

I wasn't really discussing/focusing on whether it is "nights" vs "days" and I simply used what I find to be easier terminology. I agree, it's not EXACTLY correct. But since it wasn't the focal point of my piece in the discussion, I wasn't necessarily concentrating on THAT aspect of nitpicking the language of my post.

But, since you pointed it out, I was happy to correct it.

Still, the sentiment of my OP remains the same....

Thanks everyone,

We've used the regular dining plan so I'm familiar with the night/day thing. Sorry about using "day" and starting something.

You didn't start anything. It's all good.:goodvibes I'm glad you knew it was/night. Whenever someone posts per day, I picture a family confronting a large bill on their final day and discovering that whoops...no entitlements left. Or at least planning it that way until they see exactly how many entitlements are left on their bills.

Enjoy the deluxe DDP and happy planning!

The three credits per night you receive on the deluxe plan are not TS credits. They can be used as TS credits. If you wish, they can also be used interchangeably as CS credits.

You pick the type of restaurant at which you wish to use your credits.

This happened to my sister who didn't realize it was nights instead of days. So it's good to point it out. (I might not have known, except for her mistake.)
