When using deluxe dining at a Signature, is the first course, soup/salad course, both or neither considered to be your appetizer?

On the DxDDP at any TS restaurant you are entitled to a 3 course meal: starter, entree and dessert + the non-alcoholic beverage. The starter can be an appetizer or soup or salad (not entree sized). You won't be able to order both an appetizer and soup or salad unless you pay OOP for one of them.

Soup or salad or some other appetizer. The soup or the salad would count as the appetizer.

I think the key here is that a lot of things count as an appetizer at most TS restaurants. For example- for lunch at Le Cellier, I got a bowl of the cheddar cheese soup...for dinner at California Grill I got sushi for my appetizer. When all else fails- ask your server what qualifies.

You usually can choose from soup, salad or traditional app. Signatures tend to have lots of choices such as cheese plates or sushi. Some are small portions for one person and some are large table sharers. Some signatures will also let you get the cheese plate as dessert instead so if you are desserted out you may want a salad or other light app and finish with cheese since regular meals do not give you any options for the dessert credit except dessert.
