Can anyone tell me what it would cost to buy a ticket on a blackout day? I know you pay an extra fee to go to DL on a blackout day, I'm just not sure where to find the info. TIA

Unfortunately you have to pay full price or upgrade your pass (if you are going to be park hopping you might as well upgrade)

Oh, wow. I didn't realize that. I guess I shouldn't be surprised the way things have been heading. Thank you!

Yeah, it's so annoying. I don't think they're trying to cut back on ap's, I think they're just trying to shove people into more expensive ones. If they really wanted to cut back on the number of annual passholders, the logical thing would be to start by eliminating the free monthly payment plan. I read that there has been a big increase rather than a decrease following elimination of new SoCal passes. I feel torn now about getting my usual Deluxe because I want to go at least one blocked Sat. so I "might as well" get a Premium. That's baloney.

I think they're saying get the pass you'll need for the days you're planning to go. I know several people who buy several blockouts per year and end up paying about what they would have for the higher pass. They think $86 is a good value. Like an AP is some kind of membership that allows you discounted admission. Makes no sense to me, but since I can recall paying $25 for a blockout, I may have a different perspective.

It helps Disney's crowd planning if they can more accurately assume how many APs are likely to show up on blockout days.
