I was looking at black out dates I assumed May 22 was included but it looks like it is not, so is that true I can just get deluxe and still go to the 24 hours event May 22?

Deluxe is not blocked on that day. It's typically only blocked on Saturdays starting around Spring Break and through summer, and then during holidays. It is blocked that Sunday on top of that Saturday though. So if you wanted to go the whole weekend, you'd be better to get a regular pass and then upgrade to a Deluxe.

Thanks I only plan to go Thursday and Friday so looks like I am good to go

I am sure blocked out that Sunday because memorial day weekend

The deluxe is blocked on July 17th this year, so if you're planning to go then, that's something to consider.

Thanks, I am just going June 28 thru July 2 besides May 21 and 22

I just realized disneyland is only open til 6pm the 21 but CA is open til 9
There was a blurb in the LA Times today about an invite-only premiere for Paint the Night and the new Fireworks on the 21st, so I imagine it would close early.

So, does this mean if you have a view of Disneyland from your hotel room, you might catch a glimpse of the fireworks (obviously just the in the air stuff)? I'm trying to figure out to do with my time once I get down there on Thursday with everything closing so early. I guess I should probably just sleep.

Well, if you'll have a hopper, DCA would be open. But I'd assume that they can't block views of the fireworks from outside the resort. Blacking out hotel windows seems a bit extreme...
