:earsgirl: what is the difference in the deluxe 1 bedroom rooms and the honeymoon suites @ the WL? DH & myself & son are planning a 20 yr anniversary in 2006 & we would LOVE the 1 bdr but want a jacuzzi.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I cannot answer this but I cannot imagine a honeymoon suite having more than one bed in it.........Perhaps someone has stayed in one and can help here........

And could I ask if the Deluxe room is what they used to call a Junior Suite? I can't find prices for the Junior suite anymore.

The Honeymoon suite is actually just 1 room with only a king-bed and a small table with 2 chairs and of course that wonderful tub!

The Deluxe rooms are what at one time was called Jr Suites. They have 2 queen beds (not sure if 1 king is an option here) in a room that is closed off from the rest of the room with French doors. The main section of the room has a pull out sleeper and also a mini-kitchen area.

Hope this helps.

Vice Presidential Suite (Yosemite) and Presidential Suite (Yellowstone) both have jacuzzi, as do all of the One-bedroom Villias over at VWL. The villa has a full kitchen, with washer/dryer the price is less expensive then either Suite. If I could pick one for a special trip I would have to try the Vice Presidential Suite (Yosemite) just once.

The Deluxe room/Jr Suite do not have a jacuzzi, just a standard tub.

Have a great trip.

Thanks to all who replied; let's see with a Police Officers salary those Suites aren't possible. We will just have to do without the jacuzzi. the reason our son is going is only because it will considered his High School Sr. trip from us.

But.........that jacuzzi sounds so good.........

We were wanting to renew our vows (Intimate Deluxe @ the WL) along with the Gold or Platinum package (no sure of that one yet/DH just wants the Gold). I really wanted to get Conceige & Gold or plat. plan with a deluxe room, so the son could sleep in the living room (shut those french doors), then request one King size bed, if they have it available (if this particular type room exist). We did the Gold package - May 2003/compl. upgrade from standard to courtyard room @ WL.

I'm just trying to plan the vacation right now & with DH being a Police Officer we really have to plan, budget , and plan some more and the son.........that's another story (Band, Symphony, private lessons..............) LSU bound..................Golden Tiger Band !!!!

Any input is extremely helpful, this board is wonderful & a wealth of knowledge. It helped us save alot of money last year.

Have a great afternoon !!!

You could check out the one bedroom Villas at Wilderness Lodge. They have a jacuzzi tub and a
king bed a pull out couch in the living room and a full kitchen. They are very nice and cheaper than a suite.

:earsgirl:

Can you still get the conceige and gold/platinum packages with the Villa's?

Thank you very much for that info !

:bounce: :bounce: I forgot something;

where can I find a layout of the rooms? The layout used to be on the old Disneyworld.com website but isn't anymore.

Thanks !

We have stayed in a courtyard room, concierge rooms, a 1br villa and also the Yosemite Suite at WL.

We have not stayed in the Honeymoon rooms.

I would opt for a concierge room over a courtyard view room. The concierge rooms are much quieter because they are on the 7th floor and you don't have anybody above you.

The deluxe rooms are spacious but they don't have the jacuzzi. You can always book a concierge room and ask that you be put in a deluxe room but it is not something thhat they can guarantee. It's too bad there are no deluxe rooms on the concierge floor?

The Yosemite Suite was nice but I just thought something was missing. We had an ant problem when we stayed there. There is a king bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. There is also a huge jacuzzi tub which we enjoyed and the view is wonderful.

You can, on rare occasions, add concierge access onto a stay in the villas but it is rare. For an anniversary, I would want to stay concierge. We just liked the main lodge better and we even own DVC points at the villas.

Good luck with your decision.

Have you thought about a 1 br suite at AKL or are you set on WL?

It doesn't cover conciege but I believe you can get the gold or platinum packages. I think the Allears sight has picures of the rooms at the Villas.

Check out the Villas at Wl. We stayed there and it was awesome. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful and the shower OMG I never saw a shower that big it was like a car wash. In fact my 3 yr old and DH played in there because it was sooo big he could run under the water and out and still be in the stall. He had a great time, his first big boy shower. If you go on the DVC BB , go to the point calculator and plug in your dates and resort ( and room type) it will tell you the # of points needed. Multiply that # by $10 and thats what it should cost you to rent from a DVC member. It doesn't go to 2006 so use 2005 for a rough estimate. Good Luck planning. PS> The Unoffical guide to WDW has all the resorts layouts.

wilderness gal ...I am a Tiger as well! Watching the band come in was always the best part of the game for me!

I will have scoop for you after OUR 20th anniversary trip to WL Honeymoon Suite. DH & I lost our minds and booked as a replacement trip since we missed the 1st trip due to Ivan. Upgrading to such luxury was the only good thing to come out of that evacuation. The jacuzzi sounds incredible and lots of nice WL Vets on this site advised that I close my eyes and open my wallet and just do it!

Will let you know after the trip!
