Has anyone flown both of these airlines? Which do you prefer. We've flown Jetblue and love it, but their flights are much higher than Song for our June flight. Just curious how they compare. If the prices stay the same I think we'll be flying Song. But I would love to know how they compare.

I've flown both and enjoyed both. No major difference excpet that the last time I flew Song the TVs weren't in yet. I'm assuming they are all in now but, of course, I'm not 100% sure.

We flew Song a few times and then Jetblue came to Boston last year and the rates were good so we booked with Jetblue twice last year.

Now for this year's trip, we're back with Song because Jetblue hasn't released their Nov/Dec airfares yet and I like booking early especially when the price is good so I went ahead and booked with Song with no hesitation.

I think you'll enjoy Song just as much as Jetblue.

Thanks, I was wondering this,too.
We have flown JetBlue the last 2 trips-which means flying out of JFK instead of the more convenient Newark, but the prices have been so good, it's been worth it.
For this upcoming trip in August/Sept. JetBlue was actually MORE expensive than Continental out of Newark. :confused3 And I couldn't find anything under $245 anyway-too high!

I checked Song out of JFK and got all 4 of us for $621.60. :cool1:

It looks good, and as long as the TVs work, I am good to go-it's so much easier traveling with little kids if you have the TV on the plane-no need to pack tons of stuff to keep them from being bored.

We have flown both, but prefer Song. Mainly, I really like the option of listening to music instead of TV only (my 7 yr old DS likes listening to the Opera loop the whole way; go figure). And now there is the added bonus of Magical Express; while you could use either on the flight down, you would need to be on an approved airline for the return, and Delta, including Song, is one of the approved airlines. I love the idea of checking my bags at the desk at BWV and not worrying about them until we get back to Boston.

I do like JetBlue quite a bit tho, and will certainly be flying them in the future. I just prefer Song on balance. I think my price point is in the $30-$50 per ticket range for Orlando bcs of the convenience of Magical Express, probably lower for other destinations. But Song was cheaper for our October tix, so that decision was made easier. But I'd fly JetBlue again in a heartbeat, and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

On major plus in JetBlue's favor is ease of Frequent Flyer redemptions: it is much easier to get a good flight for your airmiles on JetBlue than on the legacy carriers like Delta (who always seem to want to loop me thru at least three cities for that free ticket; JetBlue I can fly direct).

I have flown Song and Jetblue. They are both about the same from what I can see. Song has headphones that are like earplugs. Jetblue has ones that go over the head. I bring my own as I use them for my CD player anyway. Song seems to have planes that are in a very slight better condition. Hardly noticable though.

I am flying down to MCO on Jetblue and flying back on Song. I just go with the least expensive.

My husband didnt even notice any difference when we flew Jetblue from Song.

Song is great All the planes have the TV in. They also have 8 or 10 pay per view movies that cost 5 dollars each. You can stop them rewind . Both children watch a movie best 10 dollars I ever spent :cool1: :cool1: Bring your own headphones the ones they give you are awful.
Bottom line is I would go with the cheapest :flower:

Thank you all!!!! You all told me exactly what I wanted to hear. Now, if you'll excuse me I have flight ressies to make.
Thanks again

Let us know what you get (esp prices and dates).

Since I will be carrying a lot of luggage on my next trip - due to the cruise -- I will try to fly Jet Blue both ways - from JFK to LGB & MCO to JFK -- based on one factor -- luggage weight.

Jet Blue - 3 bags - up to 70 lbs. each

Sone - 3 bags - up to 50 lbs. each
