Delta/Song Seat Changes

Just checked my Delta flights for August. Now showing the change from Delta to Song. Small change in flight time which actually is good, however they did not reassign our seats. We lost our front of the plane, 4 together seats, for the back end of the plane. Needless to say, I'm not thrilled, but at least we've still got flights and the price we paid was better than fares now. Keep checking your flights!

Did you try calling them up and asking them to move you further forward in the plane? Sometimes when the readjust seats as equipment changes they put people toward the back. You can all them up and just ask them to put you in 4 seats together as far forward as possible and see if they have any available..

4/13/03 early AM. Checked a few Song flights including my own BOS-MCO-BOS Nov. flights. Found that all the "taken" seats were evenly filled in starting at the front of the plane, probably automatically, even though the passengers' original seat selections on the flight as Delta Express may have been different.

If this is the case for all of the flights, you will have a hard time moving forward. At least unless or until other people choose to move back.

I called Delta first thing this morning, and as I was dialing I was checking seat assignments online. On our flight to Orlando, everything in front of the wings was already booked. Did do a litttle better on the flight home, but it still is a little frustrating. I was told that because of the different configurations of the planes, they don't reassign seats. I'll keep checking, but really don't expect to be able to move up.

That is one of the reasons why I like American. I mean not much can be done if the seats are full.. But, American has the ability to check the seats online at any time and change your seats if you there is available seats open. It is kind of nice if you like to check and see how full the plane is...

When I called yesterday to get my seats reassigned, the Song agent couldn't figure out exactly why the first 30 rows were full! She had thought at first that there would be no problem getting me into seats close to what I had to begin with...row 3. But, she couldn't do it. Now we're in row 31!!! But, the fare showing is close to $500 and I paid 199, so at least I have seats.
