UPDATE!!! Problem Solved! I panicked too soon (of course). This morning my itinerary said at the top there was a schedule change, and they had put me on the new afternoon flight - kept my same seat and all - it's the same model of plane.
Thanks for letting me freak out here, guys. Now I have to do a search to see how to change my thread title. (Update Update; found the answer on DIS the tech support board. Ya learn something new every day!

Well, yesterday checking my flight confirmation info on Delta.com, my "last leg home" (ATL-home) wasn't showing all the info, and further search on the website shows that the ATL-home flight I booked no longer exists, and there is now a new afternoon flight with a different number and flight time.
I thought that if something like this happened (original flight discontinued) Delta would automatically move me to another flight, but they didn't. Maybe the schedule change just happened and they haven't adjusted my itinerary yet???
I emailed Delta through the website yesterday for help and their reply was to tell me to call. I was really hoping not to have to do that.
If I have to call, any advice on when to call for the best chance of getting a knowledgeable person I can communicate well with who can actually help me? (Should I call during "normal business hous"?)
The new afternoon flight times are fine for me; I just need to make sure I'm on an actual flight to get home.
Yes this is a stupid over-worrying post.
