Hi All,

Delta has some great fares on right now for my trip in 9 months. Do I risk purchasing fares this far out for a bankrupt airline?

Regs,

Delta being one of the "Legacy" carriers, I would *assume* that they have agreements with one of the other big ones for picking up travelers in the event of a no-fly situation. Check www.flyertalk.com and see what the posters are saying over there.

ALWAYS use your credit card to book it, at least that way you'll be somewhat protected..

Would we book it? Yep:)

We've booked on USAir when they had some great rates for an Arizona trip, and the talk was they were going under - remember last Christmas fiasco?..and we've booked on AirCanada too - when all the talk was bankruptcy.

And nothing happened.

Buyer beware though - protect yourself as best you can, grab a great rate, and GO!:)

HTH!!
