Someone named "Miss Smith" from Delta called me to tell me about flight changes for our trip to Disney World next month. At first I really was expecting the worst, a MAJOR change in time or day. But the change was for the return flight only, and it was only changed by 15 minutes, so I was happy to hear that. Actually, I am glad they changed it because now we will get home a few minutes earlier than we thought, and this will be easier on my father in law who will be picking us up at Logan that night.
While I had her on the phone I asked her what the current situation was at Logan Airport, regarding check-in times and such. She looked at her computer (or paperwork, or whatever she had in front of her) and she told me that Delta has curb-side check-in at Logan again! This will be nice
She emphasized that we NEED to have our paper tickets with us, to avoid any unnecessary delays.
I then asked her about how we should pack and carry DH's diabetes supplies. He is now on insulin injections twice a day so we will be traveling with syringes, liquid medication, as well as his various oral medications. She didn't see anything specific about those items, so she told me that we should bring a doctor's note listing all of his medications, as well as stating his need for syringes. She also suggested keeping the medications in their original, labeled bottles.
I thanked her for calling, and I felt satisfied with all of the answers she had given me. Two minutes later the phone rang and it was Miss Smith again. She had found the "offical" information about traveling with diabetic supplies and read the statement to me, which was basically exactly what she had already told me.
I am impressed that she took the time to find the official info and then called me back.
Just thought I'd share this little bit of info with all of you here on the transportation boards!
