This is the 2nd time I have flown so any advice is greatly appreciated. We booked our airfare through Delta. I have been checking our itinerary to make sure everything is the same. Today I noticed our flight is leaving 10min early, no big deal except instead of us flying on an Embraer 135 they changed it to an Embraer 145. I called Delta and the rep. said "No the plane has not changed" even though my confirmation letter says EJ135 and now the computer says EJ145. I just want to make sure our seat assignment is the same. Can anyone help me please. I have been on the phone with Delta for 1hr and 20min (mostly on hold:headache: ) and still no help!

If you sign up for skymile, you can get into your reservation and check your seating arrangements. You can switch seats also.

Finally, after another hour and a half I finally got through to another Delta rep.:goodvibes I spoke to a rep from Alabama and she was probably the sweetest customer service person I've ever spoke with:flower3: . She said the reason I had to wait so long on hold was because of all the trouble they were having with the flights being cancelled up north. That's understandable. Anyhow she fixed everything for me and now my mind is at ease once again!!:cloud9: Thanks for letting me vent and thanks poohbear2 for the advice it was very helpful.:thanks:

I fly often and believe the 135 and 145 are basically the same plane. They have 1 seat on the left and 2 seats on the right (facing the front). You cannot carryon anything bigger than a laptop or briefcase (maybe a small backpack). They will check larger items planeside (that are within normal carryon rules) and return it to you there when you land (they don't go to baggage claim).

Yes, DebbieB you are right.::yes:: They are pretty much the same plane just the 145 has 18 rows instead of 13. The Rep. did tell me that when they change planes like that, they try and put you in the same seats you had on the other plane. I guess I'll remember that incase it ever happens again.:thumbsup2 Thanks!:wave2:
