Delta has cancelled some Edmonton/Salt Lake/Orlando flights!

I just wanted to let anyone know that is traveling with Delta that they have cancelled some of their flights from Salt Lake City to Edmonton, making many current bookings no longer work.

I am have to scramble and rearrnage things for our October trip, they are saying that they have nothing to offer me, unless I slipt my flight over 2 days - with 3 kids 5 and under NOT LIKELY!

I just wanted to give anyone else a heads up. I believe other Delta flights have had many chanes too.

Delta is going through restructuring so I would stay away from them altogether. I ended up in that Jetsgo mess so I avoid any airline in trouble. The deals just aren't worth the potential hassle.

Had the same issue. I was able to shift the dates forward a day and get basically my original flights. They had cancelled the flights on certain days of the week.

how long did it take them to contact you....or did you figure it out on your own? I had my flight times completely changed around for my December flights and if I wouldn't have noticed, I would have missed my connecting flight. They never sent me any notification at all....so, it's a good thing I keep checking the website for any changes!

Mine are still there, yay!

They did change them though, which upset me. I had a late flight, I think it was like 1:15, and they changed it to 6:30am. I was not happy! I don't want to be at the airport at 4:30 in the morning!!

But then I remembered what a good deal I got, and was just happy I was going to Disneyworld! And we will be there in the late afternoon instead of midnight, which is nice!

Have never flown with Delta before, hope it all goes well!

Arrrggghhhh - I just checked our December flights & they have changed everything. No big deal on the way to Orlando - we actually arrive a half hour earlier now. But they have it so screwed up for the return that they have us leaving Salt Lake City an hour before we get there. I guess I'll be making some phone calls later today. There are 12 of us flying together, so this is going to be a mess I can tell.

Delta never contacted me about the changes, they never contact anyone, I found out the changes myself from checking my itinerary online - because another DIS'er had recommended it.

When I got my changes sorted out yesterday the ticket agent I dealt with said since I am leaving in October, the number of changes should 'settle' down, but she recommened continuing to check weekly.

BTW, Delta's policy apparently is if they reschedule your flight by more than 45 minutes either way they have to offer you a refund. So for some this may be worthwhile looking in to - we got our fares so cheap that to look elsewhere really kills my budget so for now I will wait out the changes.
