So far, Delta has changed my flights 3 times since I booked. They've explained that it's due to "restructuring and personnel moves".

OK, great - as long as I get there and back.

But should I worry that something horrible will happen? Like they'll cancel all flights or something?

I wouldn't worry about them cancelling "all" flights, they may lessen the number of flights available but to discontinue a route all together usually comes with some notice. If that were to happen, they would have to find an alternative (I would assume) or refund your money.

They have rescheduled our Dec/Jan flights a couple of times, but there were still a number of alternatives available. I was actually able to get a later departure out of MCO which lessens our layover in Atlanta, I didn't originally book this flight as it was more expensive, approx $100 more per person. So there rescheduling so far has worked to my advantage.

Good luck and happy vacation

Uh wait. Where are you flying from? One of the things Delta might do is stop service from some smaller cities.

That could be a problem - I'm flying out of Buffalo. On the way down, we stop in Cincinnati, on the way back, Atlanta. What do you think?

Buffalo's a pretty big city. You should be relatively safe, once the settlement agreement is ratified by the union rank-and-file.

I hope you're right. :) I don't take too kindly to having my WDW trips screwed up. ;)

Bicker,
What is the prognosis for Bloomington, Illinois? This is an area in which they've basically duplicated all of Airtran's routes much to the chagrin of the airport manager.

My guess (and it's just a guess) is that Bloomington isn't as safe as Buffalo. However, FWIW, Delta might not cease operations in any cities.

We have the same stopovers. We are flying out of Indianapolis, stoping in Cincinnati on the way down and Atlanta on the way home. Our trip is in October. I bought our tickets in December and there haven't been any changes yet. But, there's still 6 months left until our trip. We shall see .....

Oh, and does Delta contact you with changes or is it up to me to periodically check our flights on Delta's website?

Thanks,
Debbie

Most major airlines notify you just once, about three weeks before your flight, if your flight has changed.
