Hi

I've been reading a few threads regarding flight times changing, so I decided to go to the Delta website and check my flights.

It looks as if my return flight has been bumped back by 10 minutes.
My flight TO MCO is not even listed ! Does that possible mean that the flight is already full?
We have E-tickets issued by WDTC. Since we are flying 2 adults and 2 children, I want to make sure that the adults each sit with one of our children.

Should I go ahead and call Delta?
Since we are flying out of ATL, do I call an Atlanta number or the main Delta number?

btw--Our flights are for late Sept if that makes a difference.

On Delta and Song (and a few other airlines) some flight schedule changes, even by a few minutes, cause your seat choices to be lost. You must call or write (not use the web site) to remake your seat assignments. Use their main 800 number.

If a flight is sold out, it won't show up when you shop for a ticket on line. There are probably some ways to make the sold out flight show up but I am not sure how.

Normally when you use Delta.com, only the cheapest nine itineraries are shown. So a non sold out flight all of whose cheap seats are gone might not show up either, at least at first.

Try looking for an "unrestricted" ticket and a flight that did not show up earlier might show up.

I agree with seashoreCM. This has happened to me within the last month or so. The flight times for our departure flight on Delta changed by only 10 minutes and the seat assignments did not show up for about 3-4 days. I immediately called Delta and they had the seats already assigned in their system but was not showing up on the website. I would give them a call.

We are using Song this weekend. I just checked and our flights have been changed by 10 min. also. (WHY 10 minutes? - seems odd). Anyway, our flight reservations and seats are confirmed. Ahhh, now to just endure the next 5 days of waiting! Think I'll just peruse the boards gleaning as much last minute information as I can! Oh and I need to go buy more lime green ribbon too! :)

ncbyrne, Lots of Pixie Dust your way! Have a wonderful trip::yes::

There was no problem at all with our seats or anything. I called about 1000 times to check the status (time, etc) of the flight, though. I wouldn't depend on them to call you, I would call them once a month to reconfirm flight times.

I would call Delta. We flew Song out of Hartford Ct in Dec and they cancled our flight all together. Thank god my dad is a nut about the reservations and caught that it no longer showed our flight number. Sure enough we called and were told they had cancled the early flight and now only had a 3pm flight. We had MVMCP tickets for the last night and the flight would get us in to late so we had to book a flight going out a day sooner and pay for a hotel to stay at near the airport. Just keep an eye on Delta they are a great airline but they do wacky stuff sometimes:moped:

Call them and use the national toll free reservations number.
They will be the ones to answer your questions with some concrete facts.

Thanks everyone!

I did call Delta, and it turns out that the reason I could not find our return flight is because they changed flight numbers !@!
But all is fine---and I even got our seat assigments changed while I was on the phone.
I didn't like the way WDTC requested our seating:(

Alot of you mentioned viewing your seat assignments online. How do you do that?I mean what section of Delta.com do you go to?

Or is that feature available only if you purchase the tickets online?

We booked thru WDTC.

Chris

I am not sure if you can view your seats online since you booked through WDTC.

Here is how I check our seats and flights.

We are Delta Skymiles members and I always book directly with them. I can log on online and go to itineraries. They show all your itineraries by your confirmation number given at time of booking. Then you scroll down and hit check seat assignments. Then you can check each leg of your flight and see how many seat are occupied and where your seats are located on the plane.

Otherwise, go to the Delta websit and put in your flight times and destination just like you are going to buy a ticket. When you select a flight time you can view seats at that time.

Hope this helps!

I also would suggest becoming members of the DeltaSkymiles club. We probably won't ever acrue enough milage to get a free trip but it sure is nice to be able to check on my flights daily. We always fly Song, and like Delta, change their flights on a regular basis. I double check every day. I have always caught their changes and been able to get what I wanted by calling them directly.
