Does anyone know if Delta has curbside check in at MCO? If so, is it possible to check in, leave bags and then return a rental car?

If you are checking bags to your final destination, you can leave those. I’d be STUNNED if you were allowed to leave your carry on bags. The agents are there to check bags, not serve as bell service.

Regardless of where you check-in (curbside, at the counter, etc.) you cannot leave any non-checked bags unattended, as you can imagine this is for security reasons.. They will only accept bags that you are checking, not carry-ons or personal items.. IMO, I would recommend returning your car rental FIRST, if you return your car on-site at MCO all you have to do is walk into the terminal with your bags after returning your vehicle.. You can go straight to the main counters and check your bags..

If you are traveling with another driver perhaps one person checks bags while other circles airport then you go back to terminal with just carryons after dropping rental off.

I don’t remember if there was curbside for delta. For JetBlue they definitely werent there last month.

We did take delta to Orlando and I noticed there’s no more curbside at our home airport which is a major hub.

I think they are saying check-in for their flight and drop checked bags with curbside check in. No where do they say they want to leave carry on bags with curb side.
The issue is leaving the car unattended while you do the check in.
All parties have to go to the counter to show ID and such. Which means the driver will have to get out and go wait in line, go through the ID check, etc.
For that reason it may not work out.

I don't know if Delta is offering it again or not. It is slowly returning

There is no NEED to go to the counter to check in. Do it online or via the app before you head to the airport.

Then you drop one (or all but one) traveller at the curb with the luggage, they go to check the luggage and driver goes to park.

Sure need to tell airline employees that.
I always complete the check in online.
I've never been able to drop my bags without also showing my ID, along with everyone else's IDs. The ID is for checking a bag to make sure someone else isn't giving them a bag in your name only to have that bag be a danger.
At least that's been my personal experience

Even when Disney had bag check services you had to show each ID in order to check bags in. Disney's bag check was exactly the same as curbside at the airport. Just at Disney instead of outside the airport doors

I know I have to keep carryons with me. It is just DH and myself. We are older and have some mobility issues. I was hoping we could leave our 2 checked bags at curbside, then return car and make our way upstairs with carry on bag, 2 CPAP machines, my purse and cane. We have wheelchair assistance scheduled but have to get upstairs for that. DH would rather have me with him to help look for the car rental return area. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Guessing you have to show an ID for each bag. As long as you have one less bag than the number of people, my idea still works. So say 4 people, if you only check 3 bags, you shouldn't need the 4th person's ID. OR, depending on the length of the bag check line, the 3 can get in line and the 4th join them after parking the car.

Yes. If you have a way for one person to check 2 bags or an extra person without a bag that works. Most seem to travel 1 bag per person.

In the nicest way possible – truly! – these would've been details to include in your original post. It was a little vague, which is why you got such a range of answers.

I don't know about Delta, but United had curbside checkin/bag drop available on Jan. 23 around 7 AM. We arrived via private car, so I don't know whether one of us could have checked both our bags (with both IDs - we had done online checkin and had both boarding passes on both of our phones) or not. And again, this was United, not Delta.
