Looking for any Canadian perspectives!!!

Not a Delta fan. Have not flown with them in a number of years. Found the flights continually changed.

Stopped flying with them when what had been booked as a 7+ hour flight got changed to 12+ hours. There was a better alternative, not as good as seven but but considerable better than 12. When I contacted them about it their argument was that there were no seats left in the class we had booked. (The fact that we had booked the seats 11 months out and there would have been seats at that time did not matter to them.) They did refund the ticket price but left us a couple of weeks out trying to find good flights for a reasonable price just before Christmas.

They may have improved but I would only risk them if there was not a good alternative.

I have always had good luck with Delta. I have found their flights to be on time and nice staff.

Flights are very cheap on Delta right now. Remember to factor in the luggage fees for first and second bags though. I asked on another forum some opinions of Delta as we have never flown with them before. Someone said Delta stands for one thing "Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport":rotfl2:
Delta has recently merged with NWA so I don't know if that will make any difference but I know there are a lot of happy NWA customers on the canuckie forum out of Edmonton:thumbsup2

I am holding out. WJ cannot compete with the prices they are charging right now. I know those seats will drop I am patiently waiting lol:hourglass...direct flights...leather seats...no luggage fees....satellite tv:love:

I personally like Delta. I use them a couple times of year * every other month* . They have never been late. Haven't lost my luggage. * knock on wood*
But this time. I am a bit miffed. I have a delta sky miles card. Usually it cost 15$ for luggage. That was back in Nov. This time 23$..
I have enough points now for a free trip. Soon as I use that. I am going to look around. But probably stick with Delta because they always come in cheaper..

I am hoping one of these times i will get a plane that has wifi if i stick with them. ..

I have flown NWA for the past 4 Florida trips and find them so reasonable in price. Costs less than the taxes for a flight out of Toronto, although they are now charging $20/bag each way. We just went to San Juan 2 weeks ago and it was a total of $325 per person CDN compared to $1,100 flying out of Toronto. We flew a Delta plane down and NWA plane home.
The thing that I liked about NWA was 2 years ago, we had booked a 4 PM flight out of Detroit. We made it to the airport at noon just as a blizzard had started. When we were checking in, a NWA rep asked if we would like to take an earlier flight for $20 extra. I said yes and she said follow me, as the plane was leaving in 25 minutes. Through security ( did not need to do the USA thing as we did that at the border) and onto the plane in 15 minutes. We had to de-ice and left at 1:00 and were in the pool at WL by 4:30. We later found out that our original flight never left Detroit until 9:30 that night. That is the beauty of flying Delta/NWA out of Detroit as they have planes leaving every 2 hours.

We've had decent experiences with NWA/Delta. We've flown with them now 3 times over the last couple of years. For us flying out of Regina, they certainly have the best flight times and ususally the best price to MCO. We can leave YQR at 6:30AM and arrive at MCO by 2:30PM. We have to fly through Minneapolis and clear customs there but it is a nice airport and relatively easy to get around. They are adding 2 more daily flights to MSP beginning this spring so that will add more options for us.

Always end up with NWA out of DTW here. Prices are best and have had great experiences. Now that Delta and NWA have merged...I will be on a Delta flight(my sched. changed with the merge) or new Delta flight has a larger plane and a movie....Should be good.

Positive! We flew with them in 2007...Boston to MCO return..no problems at all..and their prices were excellent!

We've always flown NW/Delta for our trips to WDW and have not had any major problems with their service. Yes, they are known for changing flights and flight times, but their flight times have always been the best for us, and their prices have always been the best.

We actually prefer Delta/NWA. We have always had good luck with them. For us out of Edmonton, it is better than United. I don't care for the United stop in Chicago. Continental was nice too, but it is a long flight from their main depot in in Houston. I like the Minneapolis Depot. But it does come down to price most time... :)
