We've just booked with Delta for July (they were considerably cheaper than anyone else) and as always when flying with a new carrier wonder if anybody has any comments on how good or bad they might be (too late now if they're bad!!).

Also any indication of in flight entertainment etc would be helpful.

Thanks

Stuart

Try their website www.delta.com

See if you can find out the aircraft type you will be on - it looks like it could be a 777 - in which case the following should apply. The website has details of the films showing in Jan/Feb - so should get updated at regular intervals.

Our In-Seat Movies are displayed on a state-of-the-art personal entertainment system featured in every seat on some of our newer aircraft. Each system consists of a monitor and passenger control unit, which controls all entertainment functions and also works as a telephone.

If you are seated in a bulkhead row, your monitor is in your armrest. Elsewhere in Economy Class, you will find your monitor in the seatback in front of you.

We travelled with delta in December 2003 and generally liked them...quite a lot of leg room compared to virgin it seemed, leather seats and the crew seemed abit more relaxed etc...although i would have to comment i wasn't to keen on their entertainment , there didn't seem much to watch...but generally it was ok and i'd travel with them again.

We travelled with delta in Oct 2004 and were very happy. Flew into Tampa via Atlanta, and flew home via cincinatti. No seat back TV's on our flights as we flew on 767's - as previous post says if you fly on a 777 then you will have seat back TV's. The web site will give you all the info you need. Hope this helps...

I've flown Delta a number of times, I've always thought they were an adiquate airline. If they offer a better price than anyone else I'd always be happy to fly with them again.

I think I cleared customs/immigration in Atlanta with Delta, this was one of the better airports I've done this in. I would say though, at that time, they did book the connecting flight a little tighter than I would have liked. With current delays in these services, I would check to make sure they leave enough time for you to clear customs and immigration and still make the flight (this is reasonable advice for any airline and hub IMHO)

We missed our connecting flight with Delta. We got through immigration and customs with no wait at Atlanta however they were so slow with the luggage (30 mins wait) this caused us to miss the flight.
However we were put on the next flight after a bit of hassle and got to Orlando only 1 hour later than expected.
I`d fly with them again as they did their best plus the leg from Atlanta to Orlando is only I hour long - enough for a connecting flight!
