We are heading down again this summer and wondering if anone has stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. Can you compare it to the Wilderness? Where is it located?

Not quite as big as Widerness and it can be more expensive at times. Wilderness has more options.
It is located right off I-94 and Hwy 12 (exit 89) in the Dells. You can see it from I-94. Very close to the outlet mall and Kalahari resort (same exit).

Thanks so much for the response. We stay at the Wilderness every year and we were looking at trying something different...maybe even a day at Noahs Ark...were looking for a moderate MOTEL and then started to think that if the weather was as cold as it was last summer we might be better off staying at a hotel with something to do inside.

Do you think we would be disappointed in the Great Wolf Lodge? We stayed at Chula Vista a couple of summers ago and were disappointed with the outside options....

Great Wolf Lodge, added a time share, and lost most of it's outside pool area.
If you want a cheaper and comparable place, Try The Wilderness. Rates are better and better swimming facilities outside and inside. It's the same exit but down the road a little ways.

You might want to try Hotel Rome which is attached to Mt Olympus water and theme park. http://www.mtolympusthemepark.com/
There is plenty to do there inside and out. Also, not too far from Noah's Ark if you chose to go.
