Hello everyone!

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can have stuff from outside of Disney (amazon etc.) delivered to your hotel while you're there?? There are few things online from the US that I am wanting to buy and it would save a fortune on delivery and possible customs charges if I could just get them delivered to our hotel and bring them home with me instead.

I know people get garden Grocer deliveries but don't know if other stuff is treated the same way:confused:

Thank you for any help:)

I've heard that people get packages delivered, so it shouldn't be a problem. You should put your reservation number with the delivery adress when you order though.

Not quite the same thing, but when I went one Christmas two friends I have from a US forum mailed Christmas decorations from their US addresses to my Disney hotel address so we had a tree and could decorate our room. They just held them at the hotel for me until we arrived.

i've had tons of stuff delivered to me at hotels both onsite at disney and off property at other hotels.

It's no problem at all.

two years ago, i had 8 packages waiting for us when we checked into the pop century - 4 of them from amazon and 4 from various other companies.
Last year i had 3 packages waiting for me at the Art of Animation resort - again, no problem.

You just have them addressed to you, at the resort, with your arrival date so that the resort knows who you are (they can figure it out with your name and arrival date)..

you can find the delivery addresses for all disney resorts online - or you can call them and ask what the delivery address is for your resort.

i found the address online and then i called them up to verify that was the address i should use.

I bought some things online from Gymboree and had them delivered to the OKW no problem - they called from reception to let me know when the package arrived.

I had packages delivered to me at SSR I only put my name (name hotel was book under) and it was fine you have to show ID to claim them but no problem.

We've had lots of different stuff shipped to OKW over the years and we've never had a problem! :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone ^_^ I refuse to pay $50 shipping for something that costs less than that so this will be handy but dangerous for my bank account haha

My husband loves to shop on the US sites and we always have something delivered to our hotel thats there when we arrive. Have done this at SSR and Wyndham Bonnet Creek, no issues. Also BLT when friends went and they bought home for us. You can find some great bargains. I always put the delivery address as our name then (Guest Arriving 00/00/00). I always call the hotel beforehand to let them know.

No problems doing it onsite but for anyone offsite be aware some hotels have a $5 fee for receiving a package.

We've done this too at a few disney hotels but they can charge a fee too, at the GF about 18 months ago we had a package and we were charge i think $5.

I'm intrigued, what sort of things do people buy? Any particular websites. Maybe I need to do this! Ha!

So many things are cheaper in the US, we have had trading pins delivered off ebay (once had them to UK but they charged import duty) plus other things.

To give you idea I just searched 1 item a Panasonic Lumix TZ30(ZS20 in US)

Amazon.co.uk £222.74 http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...eld-keywords=lumix+tz30&sprefix=lumix,aps,289

Amazon.com $244.95 or £162.97 http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=zs20

£60 saving on the 2 sites. Possibly cheaper in UK with a different site but gives you an idea using the same company on each side of the water.

I'm considering getting a kindle because they're a lot cheaper and would just need a UK adapter ( if they work over here that is). And a few books that would cost a bomb to ship to the UK because they're heavy.

Also cosmetics and stuff are much cheaper so I'm stocking up haha probably just going to raid ulta/sephora for that though.

Disneystore.com had a huge sale a week before we left I bought DD a set of Cinderella dolls that were in our Disney store for £75 I got them $25. And other goodies. I also had the planning DVD shipped there as they dot deliver in the uk.

I'll have to add Internet shopping to my Disney to do list for August then! Thanks for the tips. My auntie lives in Idaho so I was going to ask her to get me a copy of the Disney planning DVD, haven't seen her for over 2 years but she's coming to visit in May, I'm excited :)
