I know I have seen it before but can't find it now that I need it.:confused3

Looking for the grocery list for groceries delivered by Disney. Did I dream this or is it real?

We are going to pack the non-perishables and some stuff frozen that will be ok as it thaws. Now that I have made the list, there really isn't very much we will need delivered. So I am wondering if it is available at the store at BWV or delivered by Disney instead of the WeGoShop or Garden Grocer.

The basics such as milk, juice, cheese, sour cream, eggs, lettuce, tomato and bread.
I know we can walk to the (old) Hess station for water bottles, beer, pop.

2 ways to find them on the member website:
  • Vacation Planning > Pre-Arrival Checklist > Order Groceries (click 'Read More')
  • Select the resort you are staying at from the Destinations drop list. The grocery order form will be in the 'Quick Links' on the right.

It's my understanding that they fill the delivery request from the store on the Boardwalk, so if it's on the list it *should* be available for you to pick up yourself and save the delivery fee. Just FYI. (But I do the same thing - look at the grocery delivery form to see what's available. :) )

I see you can get a 24 pack of Dasani on these lists. Do they know have full cases of water in the stores? We will be arriving very late, and won't have time to stop on the way to BLT and we like to keep a case of water in the room. The price on the list isn't terribly bad, and I would gladly pay it, to avoid having it shipped to the resort from somewhere else.

Thanks!

When we looked into Disney for our groceries we decided to go to Garden Grocer, others prefer WeGoShop. The reason was Disney is sooooo much more expensive than the others..smjj

Most of the things I wanted to eat were, the last time I checked, about the same price or slightly cheaper at Disney. Being able to pick it up myself, without having to pay a delivery fee, or - in the case of Garden Grocer, at least - a minimum amount, was worth the slight increase in price on the few items I wanted that Disney was more expensive on. I think it's well worth having a grocery list and going through the options, from Disney to Garden Grocer and WeGoShop to getting some form of transportation and buying at WalMart or Publix. It just depends on the length of stay, the type of room, the number of people, and the items desired, I think.

elgerber - I have no idea if they have the full cases or not. I don't know if Member Services would know or, if you called the resort directly, if you'd be able to talk with someone at the store. I would *think* that, if it's on the list of stuff that you can have delivered, they must have it onsite somewhere. Whether you can easily buy it in that form, though, I've no idea. I've never actually noticed cases of water in the stores, but that doesn't mean they don't have some in the back that you could buy, just by asking.

The first time we had groceries set for delivery it was for a family of 8 staying for 6 nights, we ordered from Disney. Before we got there I found out about Garden Grocer and comparison shopped there. I can't remember the exact saving due to the time involved but including the delivery fee it was quite a bit. We cancelled the Disney food and have been with Garden Grocer since. As stated here if it is a few items and can be picked up in the store, go for it. We have also done this if we run short on a few items. Just like everything else, there are options...smjj

We find the best cost savings is to rent a car for the day, do our own shopping, get what we want from where we want, and eat off site if we want. No tips, no mark up, and we can pick up anything that we forgot to pack.

We typically purchased from GG as well for same reason. How bet we have a trip coming up and I started price comparing the two. Disney is actually cheaper for a lot of stuff. Thinking of doing a split purchase and buying some from each depending on whst is cheaper

We used garden grocer on our most recent trip and really liked it. They had a better selection of options than any Disney sundry store I've ever seen (organic, frozen foods, beer etc.) and it was worth the delivery charge to be able to order it in advance and not have to spend vacation time going to a grocery store. And overall we still saved a lot of money doing it this way than buying every meal and snack in the parks.

However I should add that we were a family of four staying for a week so we easily met their minimum. If you're just two people or staying a couple days then Disney grocery may be more cost effective. I don't know for sure though you'd have to price compare.
