I know over in New Orleans Square, there is
an old mansion, that reportedly is home to 999 ghosts. Like maaaan that's a whole lotta ghosties. But......I hear there is always room for one more. Care to join them? Muahahahahaha.....

:faint:

The park doesn't cover any deaths up. If an injury or death happens in the park, they have to report it and then it usually would end up in a newspaper and/or on the news. After that, they don't have to mention it ever again. That's not really hiding anything. Though most stories like that are myths.

I've heard all this before.
If they're trying to cover up anything then they're not very good at it. It's all public record and there's everything form Youtube videos to accident reports available on-line.

There's a whole series of YouTube videos on DL's ghost population (as well as videos debunking/explaining the "ghost" videos). Always makes me feel a wee bit uneasy, so I have to watch the debunking videos too, lol!

Since there is no such thing as ghosts, any ghost stories are the subject of someone's vivid imagination.

Not being facetious, Gisele. Just saying that it might be fun to believe there are ghosts in DLR, but they are not real.

You can't say there aren't ghosts without proof that there aren't. Just like you can't say there are because there's no factual proof that there are. It is your opinion that there aren't. That doesn't mean it's a fact.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Actually you are wrong about that. I am friends with several people who used to work in Legal for disney parks. Sadly, Disney wants to maintain a pristine image to keep family's coming back to the parks. The term hush money is famous for a reason-and Disney uses it frequently to keep these from becoming public record. You can search online for many stories from eye witnesses of deaths but many of them are also offered hush money to keep from talking.

This is what goes down: Let's say you go to a park and lose a finger on a ride accidentally. Before even calling an ambulance the park will try to get your family to sign a non disclosure. This means that you are not allowed to talk to press or publicly about what just happened OR sue them. Essentially when you sign it you are taking responsibility for the accident and waiving Disney of all liability. Often times they bribe naive people with lifetime passes, and if that doesn't work large sums of money follow.

Some deaths have shut down rides until closing time so that the parks guests will not see a body being taken out and have the "magic" ruined.

Accidents happen at any theme park, but Disney has the money and power to keep them under wraps more than most. There is a reason they have the empire they do.

Lose a finger at DLR = lifetime pass. Not a bad exchange, but.....I personally would negotiate cold, hard cash and lifetime membership in Club 33.

Let me just start by saying that this is off-topic, but I have a question. Why is it that a person can't just state their opinion anymore? One person can believe in ghosts and one person can believe they don't exist. Why do people have to make rude or ugly comments when someone gives an opinion that is not of the same mindset as theirs? I think we all need to just respect others opinions,be adults and agree to disagree, and not attack the other persons opinions.
