The Annual Passes are incredible value for money as you say, suppose it depends on how many times you visit within the 12 month period.
We actually got a refund on ours and will buy the 7 day pass from Dreams Unlimited instead, as we go next in April 2009 but are on site at Disney for part of the holiday so didn't figure an AP was suitable for just 10 days or so - especially as we probably only be going to the Universal parks about 4 times.
If they are wanting to visit all 3 places, and depending on how many days they are thinking of doing. There best bet may be the Orlando Flexticket. It gives you 14 days unlimited admission to Uni/Ioa/Seaworld/Wet+Wild+Aquatica.We have recently bought ours from Attraction Tickets Direct and they also price matched with another company who were cheaper than them.Because we don't go till next April i only had to pay a 20% deposit, the rest is due 6 weeks before we fly.
We won't be visiting Wet+Wild and we had no intention of visiting Aquatica(although we will now)but it worked out better for us to get the flexticket,as with the dreams offer for Uni/IOA it's only valid for 7 consecutive days.Being as though we stay on I-Drive we can come+go as we please to Uni/IOA+Seaworld in the evenings for 14 days.x.
We stay onsite at the Universal hotels which is why we bought them, they enable us to visit the parks every day plus next year we sort of get in for free with getting the buy one year get one year free offer.
If we managed to get back for another holiday in a year we would just stay at Universal and cut Disney and Sea World out and just have more of a chill out time.
