have you tried going through the other teleporter to see if it goes anywhere
after that if it does (it is invisible then) you can put a couple of items in the places around it so you can teleport there

I bet you'll get it back from VMK. I didn't get the Born in Park badge, even though I tried to register my screen name at VMK Central in WDW. So I sent a "what gives?" e-mail. A few days later, it appeared! I was psyched. No one returned my e-mail, but I didn't care.
