Mine was overpriced, to be honest with you.

My facial would have been good if the gal had shut up. All she did was blabber on and on about how I really need to take good care of my skin, and this product would do this, do you think you could do it? blah blah blah Then at the end, she totaled it up and came to over $385 worth of products she said I so desperatly needed and again tried to push them on me. I walked away with none, but not after a lot of no I don't think so, no it's not in the budget, no I don't want them.

My friend and I did a couple's absolute massage/facial (for fun we sent the guys to a couple's massage; too funny) and we LOVED both aspects of it. We had a great facial and no hard sell at all.

I worry sometimes when I get a facial about breaking out because of all the work on your skin, but this didn't happen at all and my skin was soft/smooth. Very nice!

can anyone explain what is done during a facial?

thanks - my DH & i are doing the spa taster which includes a facial & he wants to know exactly what they are gonna do to his face

My husband and I had the Spa Taster couples' treatment and it included a facial. I thought it was WONDERFUL and my skin looked awesome afterwards. I was a little concerned about breaking out, too, but the technician told me that it shouldn't happen, and it didn't We're going to be doing more spa treatments on our next cruise!

P.S. If you know in advance that you don't want to buy any of the products, just write "No sales pitch, please" on the bottom of the form they give you before the treatment. DH and I had a VERY relaxing treatment, and felt it was well worth the cost.

They massage several different products onto your face. Some are smooth, some have a slight texture (slightly gritty) to them, and those are the cleansing ones. I know she slathered several different products on, one at a time, massaging and wiping the excess off in between. At the end, she used a very refreshing gel type of product. At least, that's what it felt like. And it left our skin feeling VERY clean and soft, not greasy or anything. The facial and massages are very relaxing. I think you will both enjoy the entire treatment
