I have a great time during Pirates moon. My favorite part was double credit days in Pirates. I got a ton of credits on those days.

The one thing that did stand out during pirate month, though, is that I think this pin series is my favorite VMK pin series ever.

the Costumes, were the same as the magic, i was hoping for a coral costume..

Pins, OK. Fine whatever lol, But couldn't they at least make a little interesting?

I was hoping for pirate furniture too.

It was just the all stuff coming back. Like the boats from the POTC Game on the home page..

Hey I hear you.. totally agree... I also loved it!! I am a big Pirate fan and loved the new costumes! Yes I would love to have some new furniture... but oh well. Loved playing double Pirate games because so many play friendly and that means I can play.. that was way cool! Had alot of fun...

Yeah, totally agree...

There was no real boom to the month, except the Pirate Costumes: but even that was de-boom-ified early in the month once we figured out the "pattern" and knew exactly what we were going to get. I compare this Pirate Month to June/July last year: we had a fun pin set (not as good as this one though) but we also had the release of the POTC2 Game, which folks still play. 5 items that we could potentially win: 3 furniture, 1 poster, and 1 super-rare costume. Also factor in the Pirates Adventure Game or whatever that was... Ship Pieces. As well, we must also consider the In-Game Quest Pirate Hat.

2006: So, that's 9 (Skeleton Monkey, DMC, Davy Jones Organ, Ship R Stern, Ship L Stern, Ship R Bow, Ship L Bow, Ship Middle Piece, Ship Mast) pieces of furniture, 1 poster, 1 super-rare costume, 1 very-rare hat, 4 weekend pins, and 1 very-rare host pin.

2007: So, that's 4 weekend pins, 1 host pin, and 1(ish) not-so-rare costume (that we've seen before, if you were a guy).

Pirate Month(s) 2006: 17 new items
Pirate Month 2007: 6 new items

And the POTC3 site updated only handful of things: you can now play a game in the Sao Feng Bath House section of the game (click the ship's wheel in the upper left), and we have obtained an "eye-patch" prize along with our Create-a-Flag. No VMK stuff...


In my own Pirate opinion... given the fact that I had such an enjoyable time last Pirate month:

VMK phoned it in. Not a HUGE effort given what they put forth in the past. It seemed to be just the return of old stuff and a continuation of Alice with the addition of the Terabithia tree house.

that was a good comparisson. I was really looking forward to some new pirate furniture. All the weekly quest prizes were kind of lame. I like the new pins and the pirate outfit, but the outfit was offered too long so it is not very valuable like i had hoped it would be. Should have been sold over the weekends only. double pirates credits was great!!
