Del Sol hotel

hi! I'm currently holding reservations in August for the Del Sol and Castle Inn. Someone recently asked about castle Inn so I have a good idea what to expect for that one. Can anyone tell me about the Del sol? We are flying in and not renting a car so don't need to worry about parking. My thought right now is that Castle Inn has better reviews than Del Sol but Del Sol is closer. We are staying 8 days and it's my 8 yo son and me. We will be spending all 8 days in the park for at least a bit. Del sol is $100 cheaper with my military discount. Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you.

We have stayed at the Del Sol on our last two trips and the only complaint we could have is that the breakfast isn't very good. The combination of the price and location is what got us to try it out the first time but we wouldn't have come back if it wasn't clean and comfortable. We just go down the street to McD's or Mimi's to eat and get coffee. We haven't had any issues with noise or cleanliness or the beds being comfortable. I expect that the next time we are at DLR, we'll be staying there again. If you have any specific questions, I'll do my best to answer.

We stayed at Del Sol two trips ago (maybe January???)-there were 8 of us with 3 rooms. We are in the parks from open to close so we don't spend a lot of time at the motel. I was okay with the place but some in our group complained about the noise-their room was on 2nd floor by the stairs. Nobody had issues with cleanliness and nobody complained about the beds. My friends and I go every 5 weeks or so for a 2 night stay and try a different place each time--Del Sol does not top my list of favorites but it's not so bad that I wouldn't stay there again. If I could save $100, I would definitely stay there. I agree with PP, skip the breakfast.
