Yeah, I know. There are worse things that can happen, but this sure does stink.
In February 2006, our flight from MCO to EWR was cancelled because of a blizzard in the Northeast and we couldn't get a flight out until 2 days later. We ended up staying at OKW for 2 additional days. But that was the winter, and it was certainly something we knew could happen.
However, imagine our surprise when we tried the resort airline check-in for our Jet Blue flight to Newark this afternoon, and after some difficulty which was related to our having a lap baby, they told us that Jet Blue had cancelled our flight! Not only that, the next available flight wasn't until Saturday afternoon! Apparently, the Northeast had some severe thunderstorms last night which affected us today.
Luckily, OKW had a 1BR available for us, but now we are using points (we are DVC members) that we didn't plan to use, more money for meals, etc.
Oh well, nothing to do but try to make the best of it.
